Srinagar, Nov 09 (KNO): Director of School Education Kashmir, Tassaduq Hussain Mir Saturday said that it will conduct student-friendly and competency based annual exams for classes 1st to 9th by mid-December.

Speaking to reporters, the director, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO said that they will release a uniform date sheet for examinations for classes 1st to 9th.”

“We have submitted the proposal to conduct exams of classes 1st to 9th and I think by mid-December we will conclude all the exams so that students will gear up for the next level.”

He also urged students not to take any sort of stress over incompletion of syllabus. “We are aware of the syllabus and have almost completed 90 percent of it.”

He added that these will be the school bases exams. “There is nothing to worry about. Students are advised not to be stressed. There will be student-friendly and competency based exams.”—(KNO)

Gold Price Today November 8, 2024: Both gold and silver are trading on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday. Check the latest city-wise prices here.

Both gold and silver prices recorded a dip on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday, November 8, 2024.

Gold futures, maturing on December 5, 2024, stood at Rs 77,385 per 10 grams on the MCX, after recording a dip of Rs 26 or 0.03 per cent. The previous close was recorded at Rs 77,411.

Similarly, silver futures, maturing on December 5, 2024, witnessed a dip of Rs 99 or 0.11 per cent and were retailing at Rs 92,214 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 92,313.

Srinagar, Nov 07: Peoples Democratic Party MLA Muhammad Rafiq Naik on Friday called for review of the existing reservation policy.

Speaking during the Motion of Thanks on the LG’s address in the Legislative Assembly, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer(KNO), PDP’s Tral MLA called for re-look at the existing reservation policy, saying that it is against the interests of the general category.

“Please have a look at the reservation policy. Where will the general category go?” he asked.

He said that Kashmiris shouldn’t be labelled as separatists, terrorists and Pakistanis. “You can call us names but don’t label us Algawadi (separatists), Attanwakdi (Terrorists) and Pakistanis,” he said—(KNO)

UFM Notification for HSP-I and Deferred Cases of HSP-II

A significant notification, No: 006/HSP-One (R)/Annual 2024 (24AJPR), dated November 6, 2024, was issued for the Higher Secondary Part-I (11th Class) Annual Private and Bi-Annual sessions. This update addresses Unfair Means (UFM) cases, instructing students on procedural requirements and any subsequent actions.

Similarly, an earlier notice, Notification No: 12/SSE/2024/Annual/Reg./SZ/HZ, issued on October 28, 2024, addresses deferred cases for Higher Secondary Part-II (12th Class) students for the Annual Private and Bi-Annual sessions.
