Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria 

Educational Qualification:

To be eligible, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution approved by India or its regulatory bodies. Additionally, the apprentice should be proficient in the local language (reading, writing, and speaking) of the State/Union Territory. The apprentice should provide a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate demonstrating proficiency in the local language.

Age limit:

Candidates who wish to apply for the Bank of Maharashtra Apprentice Recruitment 2024  would have a minimum age of 20 Years and Maximum Age of 28 Years.

There are relaxations for the upper age limit for reserved category candidates as per government rules.

Selection Process

Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

Candidates who belong to the Unreserved, EWS, or OBC categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 150 plus GST. Meanwhile, for SC, ST will pay Rs 100 including GST, and PwBD categories are exempted.

IGNOU Extends December TEE 2024 Registration Deadline to October 20

IGNOU December TEE 2024 Registration Deadline Extended Till October 20

Students who are enrolled in the ODL, online courses, GOAL and EVBB for the December 2024 TEE can now submit their dissertations, projects, practical files, and internship reports on the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date to register for ODL and online programmes for the December 2024 Term End Examination (TEE). As per an official notice, the deadline to submit the assignment has been extended to October 20. Earlier, the registration deadline was October 16. “The date for submission of Exam Form has been extended without late fee from 16/10/224 to 20/10/2024,” reads the official notice. Candidates may also apply between October 21 and 31 but with a late fee of Rs 1100.

Students who are enrolled in the ODL, online courses, GOAL and EVBB for the December 2024 TEE can now submit their dissertations, projects, practical files, and internship reports on the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in. To check the IGNOU assignment submission status, candidates must provide login credentials such as their enrollment number and the programme code.

Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in

Step 2: Look for and click on the December TEE 2024 assignment submission link, available on the homepage.

Step 3: Then log in using the credential in the designated space.

Step 4: Upload the scanned assignment with the respective code and click on submit.

Step 5: Take a screenshot of the December TEE 2024 assignment submission receipt for further reference.

The TEE exams will be conducted for programmes such as Master of Science in Mathematics with Applications in Computer Science (MSc-MACS), Master of Science in Information Security (MSc-IS), and Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Software Technology (PGDAST) among others. Practical exams will be held for Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Certificate in Mobile Application Development (CMAD), Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), and Core Banking System (CBS).

Meanwhile, the deadline to apply for the July 2024 admission cycle for the online distance learning (ODL)/online courses will close today, October 15. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on either of the official websites at ignou.ac.in or ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Higher Edu Deptt orders establishment of two GDCs in Jammu region

Srinagar, Oct 15 (KNO): The Jammu and Higher Education Department Tuesday ordered establishing of two Government Degree Colleges (GDCs) in Jammu region.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the two degree colleges will be established at Lamberi in Rajouri district and Aghore in Jammu district.

“Sanction is accorded to establishment of two government degree colleges subject to the conditions as laid down in the finance department’s rules,” it reads—(KNO)

ITBP MO Recruitment 2024: Apply for 345 Medical Officer Posts – Eligibility, Application Process & More

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has released an official notification for 345 Medical Officer Posts. The recruitment drive aims to fill 345 vacancies of Medical Officers (MO) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment drive online through the ITBP recruitment portal – recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in.

The application process for the CAPF Medical Officer Selection Board- 2024 will commence on 16th October and conclude on 14th November 2024. Candidates are advised to submit their applications before the deadline, as late submissions will not be accepted. The exam date will be announced later.

Decline in Student Enrollment Hits Government Degree Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir

In JK, Govt Degree Colleges face decline trend in student enrollment

Srinagar, Oct 14 (KNO): In a worrisome development, the government degree colleges of Jammu and Kashmir are facing a decline trend in student enrollment.

The top official of the Higher Education Department told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that besides the overall decline in student enrolment, many colleges have stopped teaching many science subjects as a major subject.

“There is no particular area for the decline in students’ enrolment. In the past couple of years, the decline trend of student enrolment is being witnessed from both the peripheral and urban areas as well,” the official said.

He said, “The major decline is being seen in science and mathematics subjects.”

“As of now it seems that the students who do not opt for regular studies are taking admissions in IGNOU or are pursuing education through distance mode,” the official said.

He further said, “Besides continuing their studies through distance mode, many a student’s prefer to work simultaneously.”

The official said that the Higher Education Department was in the process of analyzing the major reason to overcome the issue.

In the meantime, Director Colleges of JK, Dr Sheikh Ajaz Bashir in a communiqué to principals of government degree colleges and GCET’s of Jammu and Kashmir have sought opinion and suggestions from them.

“We all have been witnessing a major decline in student enrollment across disciplines for the last few years and need to strategize for addressing this major issue,” reads the communiqué of the Higher Education Department.

“In this regard you are requested to forward your opinion and suggestions in a one page write up only in a bullet format so that we have a deeper insight into the issue at hand,” Director Colleges told principals of government degree colleges.

Earlier this year, KNO reported that in wake of low CUET based admissions in many degree colleges of Jammu and Kashmir, Higher Education Department Saturday exempted 64 Government Degree Colleges from making admissions through CUET score for academic session 2024-25.

The department had further said that many other students did not prefer to seek admission through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) mode keeping in view their geographical locations, topography and availability of the infrastructure—(KNO)
