Govt orders posting of seven officers to Personal Section of Advisor to Chief Minister

Srinagar — The J&K government on Tuesday ordered transfer of seven officers from different departments to the personal section of advisor to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per an order, the following officers are posted in the Personal Section of Advisor to the Chief Minister.

Sanjeev Sharma, Private Secretary J&K Secretariat Hospitality & Protocol Department.

Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Senior Stenographer J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service Information Department.

Mohd Maqbool Macha, Accounts Assistant DGA&T (Finance Department) School Education Department.

Moin Ishaq Khan, Junior Stenographer J&K Advocate General’s Organization (Subordinate) Service Office of the Learned Advocate General, J&K.

Ashwani Sharma, MTS J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service Information Technology Department.

Zubair Qadir MTS J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service Estates Department.

Mehraj-ud-Din Dar, MTS Directorate of Floriculture, Kashmir Forest Ecology & Environment Department.

As per the order, Mohd Maqbool Macha and Moin Ishaq Khan shall retain lien, seniority and promotion prospects in their parent Department/Cadre.

While Mehraj-ud-Din Dar shall be governed on the standard terms and conditions as laid down in his initial deployment order.

“The posting of the above Officer/Officials shall be regulated under norms notified vide Government Order No. 268-GAD of 2015 dated 04.03.2015, as amended from time to time. All the above Officer/Officials shall be deemed to have been relieved,” the order read.

JKSSB Excludes Photographer (Culture Department) Post from Combined Graduate Level Examination 2024

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a notice regarding the exclusion of the post of Photographer (Culture Department) from the Combined Graduate Level OMR-based examination held on June 2, 2024. The post was originally advertised under Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020, dated December 16, 2020, for item numbers 58 and 59.

Key Details:

  • Reason for Exclusion: The syllabus for the Photographer post provided by the indenting department differs from the general Graduate Level syllabus. As a result, a separate OMR-based examination will be conducted, aligning with the specific syllabus for the Photographer post.
  • Next Steps: A new examination will be scheduled as per the syllabus mentioned in Annexure ‘A’, with the dates to be announced later.

Govt evolves consensus, Nov-Dec academic session to be restored next year

Move not possible this year, dearth of staff in SED to be addressed: Minister Sakina Itoo, Takes review meet of Dept

Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNO): Minister for education Sakina Itoo Monday said that the government will restore the academic session next year to November-December.

Earlier, in 2022, the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education and School Education Department has said that the Uniform Academic Calendar shall be followed from academic year 2022-23.

Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the education minister Sakina Itoo said, “We are most likely restoring the academic session to November-December from the next academic year.”

“This year it is not possible but in the next year, we will restore it with all stakeholders on board,” Itoo said adding that she was getting a number of calls from the concerned stakeholders to restore the previous academic session.

Itoo further said, “I have asked the concerned officials to provide me details of infrastructure issues. Besides, I have also came to know that there is a dearth of staff in school education department.”

Meanwhile, Itoo on Monday chaired an introductory meet of School Education Department—reviews its functioning.

Itoo in the meeting held detailed deliberations on various aspects of SED besides discussing issues and concerns of the department.

During the meeting, the minister asserted that there was a need of collaborative efforts for enhancing educational outcomes for students across the region.

Itoo in the meeting said, “Our primary goal is to ensure that every child receives quality education in line with requirements of today’s scientific and digital world.”

During the meeting, she also directed the Principal Secretary of School Education Département to identify vacant posts at all levels and refer them to recruiting agencies for filling at the earliest.

The minister further asked both the directors of school education of Jammu and Kashmir regions to organise training modules for teachers in their respective divisions to ensure that educators are equipped with the latest pedagogical skills.

Itoo also impressed upon both the directors to upgrade facilities at all girls hostels—(KNO)
