The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially released the date sheet for the Jammu & Kashmir State Open School (JKSOS) Class 12th Annual Session 2023-24. This date sheet is applicable for the first fresh batch from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Examination Schedule

The exams will commence on November 5, 2024, and conclude on November 27, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM on all exam days. Below is the subject-wise schedule:

ACB arrests Patwari of halqa Mujagund for accepting bribe of Rs 50,000

Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNO): Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday said to have trapped and arrested a Patwari Halqa Mujagund, Sriangar red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 50,000.

A statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that J&K Anti Corruption Bureau received a written complaint wherein it was alleged Ruman Qayoom, Patwari Halqa Mujagund is demanding Rs 1 lakh as bribe against Registration Stamp duty required for registration of the of the land measuring 02 kanals purchased by the complainant and issuance of revenue extracts thereof.

“The complaint after negotiations settled at Rs 50000 as first instalment and remaining Rs 50000 after completion of the task. However complainant did not want to pay the bribe and decided to approach Anti Corruption Bureau with a written complaint for taking legal action against the accused public servant under law.”

It reads that on receipt of the complaint the discreet verification was conducted, which confirms the demand by the public servant concerned and accordingly a case under FIR number 22/2024 under section 7 PC Act 1988 was registered in this Bureau and investigation was taken up.

“During the course of investigation a trap team was constituted which laid a successful trap and caught the accused public servant Ruman Qayoom R/o Sector-C, Gulberg Colony Hyderpora Srinagar red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount of Rs 50000 from the complainant,” the statement reads.

After completing all formalities, the accused Public Servant was taken into custody, the statement said, adding that further investigation of the instant case is going on—(KNO)

Fresh Weather Update for Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh

A weak Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir from the evening of October 23rd through October 24th. This system may bring light snowfall to the higher elevations of North Kashmir, Ganderbal, and Anantnag districts. Snowfall is also likely at Phase 2 in Gulmarg and Zojila Pass in Sonamarg.

In the plains, the weather is expected to remain largely dry, though a brief spell of rain in some areas cannot be ruled out.

There is also a possibility of gusty winds.

Nothing significant is expected in Jammu region.

In Ladakh, there is also a chance of light snowfall in a few spots, especially in Kargil district.

Srinagar, Oct 21: Minister for education Sakina Itoo Monday said that the government will seek suggestions from all the concerned stakeholders regarding restoring academic session which was shifted from November-December to March in 2022.

Speaking with reporters, Itoo, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) during JK Science Congress 2024 held at Women’s College MA Road Srinagar said, “We will seek suggestions from all the stakeholders with regard to the restoration of the academic session.”

She said that they can only decide it after appropriate suggestions from all stakeholders. “Today, I will chair a review meeting with the officials of the education department,” she added—(KNO)

Notification for apprentice

For HR Trainee vacancies, candidates need a full time graduate degree and a two-year full time first class or 60 per cent ,arks (55 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/PH candidates) in MBA / PG Degree/ PG Diploma or equivalent in Human Resource Management / Human Resource Development / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Social Work / Labour Welfare course.

Notification for HR trainee

For Trade Apprentice (ex-ITI) vacancies, merit lists will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination in each trade/discipline.

The common merit list for Fresher Apprentice vacancies will be based on marks scored in Class 10/Madhyamik or equivalent examination. Allotment of trade will be made after joining in order of merit and availability of seats.

For HR Trainee, shortlisting of candidates will based on overall marks scored in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will appear for interviews after document verification. The final selection will be based on performance (marks obtained) in the interview.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a notification regarding the filling of online Examination or RR Renewal Forms for Class 11th and 12th, Annual Regular Session 2025. Below are the steps for filling out the form:

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1:
Visit the official JKBOSE website and read the notification about filling the Online Examination or RR Renewal Form for Class 11th/12th (Session Annual Regular 2025). Click on the available link:
“Online Examination/RR Renewal Form for Class 11th/12th Session Annual Regular 2025”.

Step 2:
The examination form can only be filled through the school’s account. Schools need to log into the Office Login window by entering their School ID and Password to access the form.

Step 3:
In the School Login, select the option: Examination Form Class 11th/12th.

Step 4:
Fill in the form by entering the correct Registration Number. Click on the Get Details option to fetch the registered data, including the candidate’s particulars, photograph, and other details.
Upload the candidate’s signature (not exceeding 50KB) and check that all entries, including the photograph, subjects, and signature, are correct before final submission.

Step 5:
Once the form is submitted, it will automatically be forwarded to the Principal Account of the respective institution for approval.

Step 6:
The examination fee should only be paid via the Clerk Account of the institution after the form is approved by the principal. Students are not allowed to pay the fee directly.

NTPC recruitment 2024: Important instructions for candidates:

  1. In their graduation degrees, candidates must have secured at least 40 per cent marks. For SC, ST and PwD candidates, there is no minimum marks requirement. Such candidates with only pass marks are eligible to apply for the post.
  2. The cut-off date for age limit and educational qualification is the last date for submitting applications (October 28).
  3. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwBD candidates. The age of Ex-Servicemen is also relaxed as per government guidelines.
  4. NTPC may conduct an online screening test to select candidates for interviews. It may also increase or decrease the number of vacancies.
  5. Posting of JEs will be done in fieldwork at various NTPC stations/projects/JVs/subsidiaries/offices as per organizational requirement.
