Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education Issues Circular for Internal/External Assessment of Private Candidates

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), based in Rehari Colony, Jammu, has released a crucial circular concerning the internal and external assessment of private candidates enrolled in the 10th, 11th, and 12th classes for the Bi-Annual 2024 session in the Jammu Division.

In alignment with Notification No. F (Secrecy I/II/III-Noti. Int/Ext.)B/JD/24 dated August 23, 2024, JKBOSE has directed all heads of government and private higher secondary schools affiliated with the Board in the Jammu Division to conduct a thorough review of records for candidates whose Admission-Cum-Permission forms have been submitted to the Board. Schools are required to verify and ensure that internal and external assessment records are up-to-date. If any pending assessments are found, they must be submitted to the Secrecy Wing, JD, by October 28, 2024 (Monday), without fail.

This deadline aims to prevent any issues or delays caused by incomplete submissions. The circular warns that any institution found negligent in fulfilling these requirements will be held accountable for any repercussions arising from their oversight.

UPSC CSE 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published a reserve list for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2023, following a request from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). This additional list, available on upsc.gov.in, includes 120 candidates-comprising 88 from the general category, 5 EWS, 23 OBC, 3 SC, and 1 recommended to fill remaining vacancies in various central services.

Of the candidates listed, the UPSC has marked 30 as provisional, with the DoPT set to reach out directly to those recommended.

The primary results for UPSC CSE 2023 were announced on April 16, 2024, when 1,016 candidates were selected for positions in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other central posts. CBSE Date Sheet 2025: Class 10 & 12 Practical Exam Dates Announced – Schedule & Guidelines

CBSE Class 10th, 12th practical exam dates: The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has released the practical exam date sheet for Class 10th and 12th on the official website.

Practical exams for Classes 10 and 12 are scheduled to start on January 1, 2025, with theory exams commencing from February 15, 2025. However, CBSE winter-bound schools will hold practical exams from November 5 to December 5, 2024. The board has also issued detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for conducting Practical Exams, Project Work, and Internal Assessments in these winter-bound schools, which will remain closed in January 2025.

Along with the exam date announcement, CBSE has issued the subject-wise marks distribution for Classes 10 and 12. Schools are advised to review this thoroughly and ensure accuracy when uploading practical marks, as once submitted, the marks cannot be altered. To support schools in conducting both practical and theory exams smoothly, CBSE has also provided a detailed list of subjects for both classes. This list includes information such as class, subject code, subject name, maximum marks for theory exams, practical exams, project assessments, internal assessments, and the type of answer book to be used in the theory exams.
