The schedule for NEET-PG 2024 is meticulously planned to ensure a smooth examination process. The test center will open for registration at 7:00 AM, and entry to the examination center will close at 8:30 AM. Candidate login access begins at 8:45 AM, followed by the reading of instructions at 8:50 AM. The exam itself is scheduled to commence at 9:00 AM and will conclude at 12:30 PM. It is essential for candidates to arrive on time as late arrivals may lead to disqualification from the exam.
Upon arrival at the test center, candidates will undergo strict identity checks to ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed to take the exam. Candidates must bring the following documents to the test center: a printed copy of their Barcoded/QR Coded Admit Card, a photocopy of their Permanent/Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration, which will be retained by the test center, and any one of the following valid government-issued photo IDs: PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card (with photograph). Without a valid ID proof, entry to the examination premises will be denied.
The NEET-PG 2024 examination will be conducted in a multiple-choice questions format delivered through a computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, each having four response options/distractors, presented in English only. Candidates are required to select the correct or most appropriate response from the four options provided for each question. The total time allotted for the examination is 3 hours and 30 minutes, and candidates must manage their time efficiently to answer all the questions.

A 25% negative marking scheme will be applied for incorrect answers, while no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. During the examination, candidates have the option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review. This means that candidates can revisit these questions before the examination time ends. It is important to note that questions marked for review will still be evaluated according to the marking scheme, and candidates should carefully consider their responses before submitting the final answer.

Candidates will have to undergo identity checks upon arrival at the test centre to ensure that there are no unauthorised candidates appearing for the exam. They must bring to the test centre the following documents:
Printed copy of Barcoded/QR Coded Admit card.
Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration, to be retained by the test centre
Any one of the below mentioned Govt issued photo IDs (must be original and valid/non-expired):
PAN Card
Driving License
Voter ID
Passport
Aadhaar Card (With Photograph)
Candidates without valid ID proof will not be allowed to enter the examination premises.

There will be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for any unattempted questions. During the examination, candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review will be evaluated as per the marking scheme.
