High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Notification: District Judges (Entry Level) Recruitment 2024 – Syllabus and Eligibility Details

The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued a notification (No: 1841 of 2024/RG/GS, Dated: 08/08/2024) inviting applications from eligible advocates for the posts of District Judges (Entry Level) in the High Court. These vacancies fall under the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should be between 35 and 45 years old as of the date of application.

Application Details

Applications must be submitted online. Candidates who have already applied pursuant to the earlier notification No. 03 of 2024 (dated 05.06.2024) do not need to apply again.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a preliminary written examination and viva-voce. The examination will include objective questions from three papers, each carrying equal marks. A cumulative grade will determine the final selection.

In JK, 86 Naib Tehsildar posts are lying vacant

Srinagar, Aug 09: In Jammu and Kashmir, at least 86 ‘Naib Tehsildar’ posts are lying vacant—‘taking a toll on functioning of revenue collection, maintaining land records and administrative tasks’.

The official figures accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reveals that the majority of the Naib Tehsildar posts were lying vacant in the Kashmir division.

According to the official figures revealed by the Public Information Officer (PIO) in a reply to RTI filed by the activists M M Shuja states that 35 such posts were also lying in Jammu region.

The RTI further states that no post of Naib Tehsildar was lying in Samba and Udhampur districts of Jammu division.

Similarly, from Kashmir region, no post of Naib Tehsildar was lying vacant in Ganderbal district—(KNO)

Important Details:

– Counseling Session: The first round of physical counseling for GNM Lateral Entry 2024 was conducted from August 5 to August 7, 2024, at BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar.

IBPS SO Notification 2024: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification for 896 specialist officer vacancies on its official website – ibps.in. The online application process for the announced vacancies started on August 1, 2024. The announced positions include various fields, such as Agriculture Field Officer, Marketing Officer (Scale I), HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I), IT Officer (Scale I), Law Officer (Scale I), and Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I). The preliminary exam has been scheduled for November 2024.

Executive Engineer Suspended in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, August 09, 2024: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has placed Er. Assad Ullah Najar, the incumbent Executive Engineer of the R&B Division in Bandipora, under suspension with immediate effect. This decision was taken in light of an ongoing inquiry into his conduct, as per a government order issued on August 08, 2024.

During the suspension period, Er. Najar will be attached to the office of the Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) Pir Panjal. The charge of the R&B Division Bandipora has been entrusted to Er. Mohammad Hussain Shah, the incumbent Executive Engineer of PMGSY Bandipora, in addition to his current responsibilities.

The order, issued by Secretary to the Government, Bhupinder Kumar, IAS, has been widely circulated among concerned departments and officials. Further details about the nature of the inquiry and the allegations against Er. Najar are awaited.
