Over 80,000 students from Class 11 in JK’s hard and soft zone areas are eagerly awaiting their Part 1 annual exam results. Moreover, the JKBOSE Board has facilitated checking the JK Board 11th marks via SMS. To access their Jammu 11th results for 2024, students can use the SMS service by typing a message in their SMS app on their mobile phone in the format “JKBOSE11 (ROLL Number)” and sending it to 5676750. For instance, the message should be formatted as “JKBOSE11 2133422.” The result will then be delivered to their phone via SMS on the day of the result announcement.

The Jammu and Kashmir Education Board conducted the Class 11th soft zone examination from March 6 to April 19, 2024. Most schools in Jammu Kashmir fall under the Soft zone division, while the hard zone division includes schools that are often inaccessible due to challenging connectivity, terrain, and snowfall conditions. The previous year’s pass percentage for the JKBOSE 11th class was 53%, with 73,471 out of 139,431 candidates passing the exam. Additionally, 33,845 students achieved first division.

J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations Announces Schedule for 1st Round of Counselling for B.E./B.Tech Courses 2024

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released Notification No. 037-BOPEE of 2024, dated June 27, 2024, detailing the schedule for the first round of counselling for B.E./B.Tech courses for the academic year 2024. This follows Notification No. 035-BOPEE of 2024, dated June 24, 2024, which announced the provisional merit list/results of eligible candidates.

Counselling Schedule:

– Sunday, June 30, 2024: Candidates ranked 001 to 500
– Monday, July 1, 2024: Candidates ranked 501 to 1100
– Tuesday, July 2, 2024: Candidates ranked 1101 to 1662

NEET MDS 2024: The registrations for Round 1 NEET MDS Counselling would begin from July 1-7, 2024.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the tentative schedule for the NEET MDS Counselling 2024. The counselling process for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) will begin from July 1, 2024. Candidates who are eligible to apply for the counselling can visit the official website and complete the registration process.

The counselling process for the NEET MDS will be held in three rounds. The registrations for Round 1 NEET MDS Counselling would begin from July 1-7, 2024. The payment facility will be available from 3 pm of July 7, 2024.

The option for choice filling and locking would be available from July 2 to July 7 upto 11:55 pm.

Hiranagar encounter: 9 SPOs regularised as constables in J-K Police

Jammu, June 28: A few days after the encounter in the Hiranagar border area in which two terrorists were killed, nine Special Police Officers (SPOs) were regularized as constables in the police by the Director General of Police (DGP) R. R. Swain as a reward for their exceptional action.

Swain announced that the village defence groups and SPOs will be strengthened in Kathua and other areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

The encounter took place in Saida Sukhal village in Kathua district’s Hiranagar area near the International Border on June 12, left two unidentified terrorists and one CRPF jawan dead, and a civilian was injured.

The DGP, flanked by Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGPs) M K Sinha and Anand Jain, regularised SPOs with ranks of constables and appointment letters at a function organized by the district police. The SPOs who were regularized include Amit Sharma, Karanveer Singh, Sumeet Verma, Anil Choudhary, Sham Lal, Pankaj Sharma, Mukesh Rajput, Lovepreet Jatt, and Sahil Singh.

“The SPOs were regularized for the good work they did. We have an SPO component in the police that must be taken care of separately and in a fast-forward mode. We went out of the usual procedure to regularize them on a fast track to reward them,” DGP Swain told reporters.

He emphasized that when the resolve is strong, people come together. “The SPOs are performing well. We have an SOP to bring everyone together, whether SPO or otherwise, through conversion or felicitation,” he said.

The DGP also appreciated the role of other police officers and said that medals and awards for other constables or officers would be proposed separately.

He said that the senior leadership of the police has decided to strengthen village defence groups in Kathua and other areas. “SPOs will also be strengthened,” he added.

DGP reminisced about his tenure as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Kathua district and praised the locals for their patriotism and bravery. “There is a feeling of homecoming. When I travel from here, I feel happy. My heart is filled with happiness because Kathua is a place where people are always filled with patriotism. I have served here as an SSP for two years and have seen people with a strong commitment to safeguarding their country. It is a natural behaviour among them,” he said.

He further recounted stories told to him by the people about the 1965 and 1971 wars and how the people of Kathua stood firm against the enemy and fully supported the armed forces.

“They have performed exceptionally important roles during these periods. The Jammu and Kashmir Police come from the public of Kathua. Police and public work in close coordination and are a great power,” he said.

Ganesh Dass, the father of SPO Sham Lal, who was regularized as a constable by the DGP, thanked the police and the DGP for the speedy steps in honouring the SPOs for their actions in eliminating terrorists and saving the village from a major tragedy.

“I never thought the DGP could elevate them to constables. He fought bravely and killed a terrorist. It is a great initiative. We are very happy. We thank the DGP and the police,” he said.–(PTI)

Centre’s panel on exam reforms seeks suggestions from stakeholders till July 7

New Delhi, Jun 28: The Centre’s high-level panel on examination reforms has sought suggestions and feedback from stakeholders, including students and parents, till July 7, Ministry of Education officials said on Friday.

Amid a raging row on alleged irregularities in exams, the panel headed by former ISRO chief R Radhakrishnan has been tasked with making recommendations on reforms in the examination process, enhancing data security protocols, and reviewing the structure and operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

“The committee is seeking suggestions, views and ideas from stakeholders, particularly students and parents, from June 27 to July 7, 2024. The suggestions can be submitted using mygov platform,” a senior MoE official said.

In the line of fire over the alleged irregularities in medical entrance examination NEET and PhD entrance NET, the Centre had last week notified the panel to ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of examinations through the NTA.

While NEET is under scanner over several irregularities, including alleged leaks, UGC-NET was cancelled as the ministry received inputs that the integrity of the exam was compromised. Two other exams — CSIR-UGC NET and NEET PG — were cancelled as a pre-emptive step.

The panel also includes former AIIMS Delhi director Randeep Guleria, Central University of Hyderabad Vice-Chancellor B J Rao, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Madras K Ramamurthy, People Strong co-founder and Karmayogi Bharat board member Pankaj Bansal, IIT Delhi Dean of Student Affairs Aditya Mittal and MoE Joint Secretary Govind Jaiswal.

The committee has also been tasked with examining the existing security protocols related to the setting of the papers and other processes for different examinations and making recommendations to enhance the robustness of the system.–(PTI)

New Delhi, Jun 28: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold a “respectful” and good discussion in Parliament on the issue of alleged irregularities in the conduct of the NEET exam as it concerns the country’s youth and their future.

Addressing reporters in Parliament complex, Gandhi said the NEET issue should be discussed before the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address is taken up.

The NEET issue is the most important issue of the day, and the opposition parties have agreed that it should be taken up for discussion before anything else, the Congress leader told reporters.

“The youth are worried and they do not know what is going to happen. A message and assurance should go to the youth from Parliament that India’s government and the opposition are together in raising the concerns of students,” he said.

Gandhi said the INDIA bloc thinks this is the most important matter.

“I request the prime minister that since this is an issue concerning the youth, there should be a good and respectful discussion on the issue concerning the youth,” he said, urging them to join the discussion.

He said the opposition members will hold the discussion respectfully.

The former Congress chief said during their meeting on Thursday, all opposition floor leaders unanimously felt that there should be a discussion on the NEET issue in Parliament.

“I want to tell the students of the country that this is their issue and we all in the INDIA bloc feel that your issue is the most important as you are India’s future” Gandhi said.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET-UG was conducted by the NTA on May 5 with around 24 lakh candidates taking part in it.

The results were announced on June 4, but they were followed by allegations of question paper leaks in states such as Bihar, besides other irregularities.

The Education Ministry also cancelled the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) and NEET (postgraduate) examinations after receiving inputs that the exams’ “integrity may have been compromised.–(PTI)

SSC MTS 2024 Notification Released: Apply Now for 8326 Posts – Direct Link Inside

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) examination 2024. The examination is all set to recruitment eligible candidates for 8326 vacancies under Multitasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar posts.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the examination at the official website of the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.gov.in before July 31.

Educational Qualifications:

A candidate should possess Matriculation (Class 10th) certificate from a recognized board.

Age Limit:

A candidate should age between 18 and 27 years.

Selection Process:

  • Written Examination
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)
  • Document Verification

Salary:

Selected candidate will receive a salary of Rs 18,000 to 22,000 per month with a pay band of Rs 5200 – 20200.

  • Next they need to proceed to the login page.
  • Fill up the required details.
