SSB Junior Assistant Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria and Exam Date Details

The State Selection Board (SSB) Odisha has announced the examination date for the recruitment of Junior Assistants posts. The recruitment drive is set to selection 108 candidates for Junior Assistants posts across Odisha University of Health Sciences, Council of Higher Secondary Education, and Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

As per the official notification, the exam is scheduled to be held on June 19 in single shift from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The examination will be held across various zones including Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Jeypore and Sambalpur. The admit cards will be available on the official website of SSB Odisha at ssbodisha.ac.in from 1.00 pm on June 12.

Educational Qualification:

A candidate must have passed +3 in Arts or Science or Commerce or such other qualification as is equivalent to +3 examinations with basic skill and knowledge in Computer and Information Technology applications.

Age Limit:

CUET UG 2024 May 29 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the CUET UG 2024 admit cards for the Silchar, Delhi centre exam today, May 25, 2024 on the official website. Candidates can check for more updates and information.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the issuance of CUET UG 2024 admit cards for the upcoming exams in Silchar and Delhi centers. Recently, there were rescheduling updates for certain subjects, such as Environmental Studies and Bengali, originally slated for May 24 in Silchar. These exams will now take place on May 29. Additionally, the CUET UG 2024 exam in Delhi, initially scheduled for May 15, has also been postponed to May 29. Candidates can access their admit cards from the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.

According to the tweet by the UGC chairperson, candidates appearing for the exams on May 29, 2024, in Pen and Paper (OMR) mode will receive fresh admit cards. These cards will be available either on the night of May 25 or by May 26, ensuring candidates have ample time to prepare for the exams.

To download the CUET UG 2024 admit card, candidates need to follow a few simple steps. Firstly, they must visit the official NTA CUET website. Then, they should click on the designated link for downloading the admit card. Subsequently, candidates will be prompted to enter their application number and date of birth. After providing this information, they can click on ‘Sign In’ or ‘Submit’. The CUET 2024 admit card will then appear on the screen for candidates to review. Finally, they can download the admit card and print a copy for their records.

The exam conducting body, National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently rescheduled the CUET UG 2024 exam for Environmental Studies (307) and Bengali (104), originally slated for May 24 in Silchar, Assam. As per the updated timetable, candidates assigned to the Silchar Centre will now sit for the exam on May 29. Additionally, the CUET UG 2024 exam initially scheduled for May 15 in Delhi and May 24 in Silchar has also been postponed to May 29 due to some unavoidable reasons.

As per the recent tweet shared by the UGC chairperson, on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the admit cards for these exams can be downloaded from the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ today, May 25, 2024.

The UGC chairperson, on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, said, “For the test papers to be conducted on 29 May 2024 in Pen and Paper (OMR) mode, NTA will issue fresh Admit Cards for the concerned candidates either tonight or tomorrow.”

Srinagar, 24 May (DSN): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education is likely to declare the class 12th & 10th Results by 2nd & 3rd week of June respectively, official souces said here on saturday.

Official souces in the Board of School Education told Daily Spark News that, class 10th & 12th results are most likely to be declared by 3rd & 2nd week of June, respectively.

Results are almost ready, with final fomalities going on, we are waiting it to get completed and will officially announce it, he said

Most likely we will announce class 12th results first by 2nd week of June, while 10th results are likely to be declared by 3rd or 4th week of June, he said.

ACB Traps, Arrests SHO Pantha Chowk For Taking Bribe in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 24: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday apprehended and arrested Inspector Azim Iqbal, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Pantha Chowk, Srinagar for demanding bribe.

A top officer told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com that ACB acted on a complaint and set a trap to catch Inspector Azim Iqbal in the act of accepting the bribe.

He said that on receipt of the complaint, an FIR was registered, under section 7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in Police Station ACB central Kashmir and investigation was taken up.

Accordingly a trap team was constituted. The trap team laid a successful trap and caught Azim Iqbal while accepting a bribe on the spot. The bribe money was recovered in presence of independent witnesses.

Further investigations are underway to uncover more details about the case and any possible accomplices. The arrest of such a high-ranking officer sends a strong message about the seriousness of the ACB’s commitment to fighting corruption, the officer said.–(KDC)

DHSK issues advisory for school kids, elderly tackle heatwave

Srinagar, May 24 (KNO): The Directorate of Health Services or Kashmir (DHSK) Friday issued preventive measures for school children and elderly people to tackle the heatwave.

According to the advisory, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) summer season has peaked in the Valley, it is crucial to be vigilant about health risks associated with extreme heat.

The department said that in light of predicted heatwave, DHSK has issued a health advisory in order to guide and protect the citizens.

Advisory

_Hydrated:_ Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Avoid caffeinated beverages, as they can lead to dehydration. Persons working under the conditions of high temperature and humidity should assuredly drink cold water.

_Regulation of work:_ The duration of exposure to hot environments should be reduced. Further, periods of rest should be ensured between intense work sessions or one can take cool showers or baths at home to lower your body temperature, however, doing the same in deep and fast flowing water bodies should be avoided at all cost to discourage drowning etc.

_Wear Appropriate Clothing:_ Wear lightweight, loose-fitting and light colored clothing. Use wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses, shields and umbrellas to protect your skin from sunburn.

_Limit Outdoor Activities:_ Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day, typically between 10 AM to 04 PM. If you must be outside, take frequent breaks in the shade of a cool environment or better to stay indoors.

_Use Sunscreen:_ Apply sunscreen to protect your skin from sunburn.

Advisory for children both at school and home

_Supervision:_ Never leave children in parked cars, even with the windows down. Ensure they play in shaded areas and take breaks to cool down and hydrate.

_Clothing and Sunscreen:_ Dress children in appropriate clothing and apply sunscreen regularly.

_Hydration:_ Encourage frequent water breaks. Offer water-rich snacks like fruits. Schools should refrain from holding outdoor activities such as assemblies, sports events during extreme hot and humid weather.
They should also ensure good hydration of children by providing multiple safe drinking water stations.
Specific advisory for elderly people

_Check on Them:_ Ensure they have access to cool environments.

_Signs of Heat- Related Illness:_ Watch for symptoms like dizziness, heavy sweating or lack of sweating, and in that case, seek medical attention immediately from nearby Government Health Care Facilities—(KNO)

The Government of Romania, through its Ministry of Education, has announced a unique opportunity for Indian students. Under the Cultural Exchange Programme, Romania will award scholarships to Indian students for the academic year 2024-25. These scholarships are designed to facilitate an exchange of experiences in specific specializations rather than funding full bachelor, master, or doctoral studies.

The Ministry’s official notification clarifies that the scholarships are for a total duration of 20 months, distributed among various applicants. Each scholarship can last from three to ten months. For instance, if six students each apply for a three-month scholarship, all six could potentially be awarded. Should the number of applicants exceed the available scholarship months, the Romanian Ministry of Education will evaluate the applications and select the recipients based on set criteria.

Eligibility for these scholarships is specific. Applicants must not hold Romanian citizenship or citizenship from EU, Swiss Confederation, or European Economic Area member states. Additionally, candidates must not be currently receiving another Romanian scholarship for the same level of study. Academic performance is crucial, with a minimum average score of 7 in their previous education. There are no age restrictions for these short-term courses, but selection will consider the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking of the applicant’s current institute and their recent academic marks.

The application process requires candidates to submit proof of their current and past educational qualifications. This includes documents detailing their current studies and previously obtained diplomas. The scholarships are offered by the Romanian Ministry of Education under the framework of the bilateral cooperation.

The Ministry of Education has issued a notification about scholarships being offered to Indian students by the Government of Romania. Under the aegis of the Cultural Exchange Programme, the Government of Romania is awarding scholarships to Indian students for the academic year 2024-25.

The scholarships being offered will not be for full bachelor, master or doctoral studies. These scholarship are rather an exchange of experience in studying a particular specialisation.

Interested and eligible candidates can submit the application forms by May 26, 2024. The complete details are available on the official website of the Ministry of Education.

An official notification by the Ministry of Education reads,  “The number of scholarships is not 20. The scholarships are for a total of 20 months (with period from 3 up to maximum 10 months). For example. if 6 students apply each for 3 months, all of them can be admitted. If the applications received are more than the number of scholarship months, the Ministry of Education of Government of Romania will evaluate them and make the choice.”

Eligibility criteria

Candidates who do not hold Romanian citizenship or the citizenship of a European Union/Swiss Confederation/European Economic Area member state are eligible for the grant. The applicant must not be benefitting from a scholarship granted by Romania for the same study level. They must have good results namely an average of 7 registered in their previous education degree.

There is no age-limit requirement for the short-term courses. Candidates will be nominated based on NIRF ranking of the institute they are studying in and marks obtained in last semester.

The minimum educational qualification required for the scholarship is documents specifying which studies the candidates are currently pursuing and previously obtained diplomas.
