The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is announcing a position for a Research Assistant (RA) to work on a project titled “Technological analysis of oil extracted from apple waste and bitter almond as a cooling and lubrication agent for hard turning of steel” sanctioned by J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir.

Details of the position

• Job title: Research Assistant (RA)
• Monthly emoluments: Rs. 20,000/ month (Consolidated)
• Project duration: Initially for a period of six months extendable based on performance and subject to the availability of funds.

Eligibility

• Essential qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks or equivalent.
• Desirable: Candidates having expertise in Machining Process, Food Science, Material Science and Tribology.
