SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024: The SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is inviting applications to fill up positions under the CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) Examinations. An official notification for the recruitment drive has been released. A total of 3712 vacancies will be filled up under this recruitment drive. Interested candidates are to check their eligibility and submit their applications.

Notably, the applications are to be submitted via the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in. It is important to mention that the online application process has already begun. Moderate to heavy rain and Snow is expected in Jammu and Kashmir from 13th late afternoon to 15th April Night : Independent Weatherman

An active Western disturbance will bring moderate to heavy rainfall in most parts of Jammu and Kashmir from 13 April late afternoon to 15th April night with moderate to heavy snowfall is expected over higher reaches during same period.

Peak intensity of this weather system will be from 13 night till 15 afternoon during this period moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in plains.

On 14 & 15 April Gusty winds, lightning and hailstorm is expected in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Initially heavy rainfall is expected in Gulmarg, Doodhpatri, Sonamarg followed by Fresh snowfall, few inches is expected. Other Upper reaches like Gurez valley, Peer ki Gali, Sadhna pass, Razdan pass Sinthan pass, Zojilla 6 inches to 1 feet is expected during 13-15 April.

From 15 evening April weather will starting improving in Jammu and Kashmir.

Overall on & off rainfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir for next couple of days.

Weather Advisory :

🔹Farmers are advised to suspend chemical sprays in orchards & irrigation system in fields during above period.

🔹Travelers are advised to avoid traveling on Jammu – Srinagar National Highway during 13-15 April as heavy rain is expected.

Traffic Plan and Advisory for 12 April

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 10-04-2024, 1700 hrs. to 11-04-2024, 1700 hrs., there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of 03 HMVs, single lane traffic at Dalwas, Mehad, Panthyal, Nachlana, Shalgarhi etc. and poor surface condition of road at many places between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu- Srinagar NHW during day time. Please avoid journey during night hours as apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal. 3. Load carrier (HMV/LMV) Operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock

are advised to load their vehicle as per advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters time to time as there is single lane traffic and poor condition of road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Shalgarhi etc. on Jammu Srinagar

NHW.

4. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

5. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 12-04-2024:- Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44)

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. However, HMVs shall be managed on regulated manner after assessing the road condition.

Cut off timing for LMVs in view of single road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Kishtwari Pather etc:- (subject to change depending on road condition) from Nagrota (Jammu) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs from Jakheni (Udhampur) 0700 hrs to 1400 hrs & from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

SSG ROAD

Subject to fair weather and good road condition (after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies) only one way traffic for LMVS 4X4 (passenger/Load carrier) from Srinagar towards Kargil shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. These vehicles shall be allowed from Sonamarg at 0930 hrs upto 1300 hrs. Motorists are advised to carry anti-skid chain to gain more grip on the slippery road. No vehicle shall be allowed without anti skid chain/after cut off timing.

Bhaderwah-Chamba road:-

Bhaderwah-Chamba road is still blocked due to snow accumulation.

JKBOPEE Announces Important Update Regarding D.Pharmacy Course

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has announced an important update regarding the eligibility criteria for admission to the D.Pharmacy course for the academic session 2024.

Upper age limit for D.Pharmacy course removed

In accordance with the new Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Regulations 2020, the upper age limit of 35 years for D.Pharmacy courses has been removed. This means that there is now no upper age limit for candidates applying for the D.Pharmacy courses offered by government and private colleges/institutions in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Other eligibility criteria remain the same

The other eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy courses remain unchanged. Candidates can find detailed information about the eligibility criteria, the application process, and the exam schedule in the e-information brochure available on the BOPEE website https://www.jkbopee.gov.in/.

Important Dates

  • Online application forms can be filled from April 12, 2024 (Earlier start date was April 7, 2024) to April 21, 2024 (Midnight).
  • The Common Entrance Test (CET) for B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy courses is tentatively scheduled for May 19, 2024.

How to apply

Eligible candidates can apply online through the BOPEE website. The application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) and can be paid online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

827 Posts UPSC CMS Exam 2024 Application form, Eligibility, Last Date

UPSC CMS Exam 2024 registration begins for 827 posts. The direct link to apply is given here.

Union Public Service Commission has started the UPSC CMS Exam 2024 registration process on April 10, 2024. Candidates who want to apply for Combined Medical Services Examination 2024 can find the direct link on the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

The registration process will end on April 30, 2024. The correction window will open on May 1 and will close on May 7, 2024. In case a candidate wants to carry out any change in his/her OTR profile during this period, then he/she should login to the OTR platform and do the needful accordingly.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to the examination a candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination. A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st August, 2024 i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1992.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay of fee of Rs. 200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment. Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Applicants who opt for “Pay by cash” mode should print the system generated Pay-in slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. “Pay by cash” mode option will be deactivated at 23.59 hours of April 29, 2024 i.e. one day before the closing date. University of Kashmir Announces Change in Eid-ul-Fitr Holiday

The University of Kashmir has announced a change in the date of the holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr. The holiday will now be observed on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, instead of Thursday, April 11, 2024. This change is in accordance with a government order.

The university will be functional on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

JEE Advanced 2024 Registration Date Rescheduled: Updated Schedule Released

JEE Advanced 2024: As per the revised dates, registration cum application for JEE Advanced 2024 will be done between April 27 and May 7.

The application forms for IIT JEE Advanced will be hosted on jeeadv.ac.in.

The IIT entrance test is scheduled for Sunday, May 26. There are two papers – paper 1 will be held in the first shift, from 9 am to 12 pm and paper 2 will be in the second shift, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

IIT Madras informed recently that the Lok Sabha elections will not impact the JEE Advanced, and the exam will be held according to the schedule decided earlier.

The deadline for making payment o the JEE Advanced exam fee is May 10 (5 pm). Admit cards will be released at 10 am on May 17.

Copies of candidates’ responses will be displayed on the exam portal on May 31 and provisional answer keys will be out on June 2.

Eligibility Criteria

BE/B Tech/B Sc (Engineering)/5 year Integrated M Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in one of the 6 engineering disciplines mentioned in the Table below from University/Deemed University or Institute recognized by AICTE/UGC.
