IGNOU July 2023 fresh admission, re-registration: Deadline Extended, know How to register

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today extended the deadline for new admissions and re-registration for the July 2023 term. The candidates can apply till August 31, 2023 on the official website — ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. To register for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes, the students have to visit ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

July 2023 fresh admission, re-registration: How to register

Step 1: To register, the candidates have to visit the official websites mentioned above

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘new registration’ link

Step 3: Choose the username and password

Step 4: After filling all the mandatory information, click on the submit button

Step 5: Your username will be sent to you via e-mail and SMS.

Step 6: Enter your username and password for subsequent login.

Step 7: Pay the application fee and download and take a printout of it.

Earlier, the last date for registration was August 21, 2023. The students who did not appear for the term-end examinations or did not submit their assignments can apply for re-registration 2023.

Srinagar, August 23(GNS) A man was injured on Wednesday in a low intensity explosion in Jammi district.

SSP Chandan Kohli told that a man from Chatha area of Jammu has received injuries after a low intensity explosion in the house of his brother.

Initial investigation reveals that the explosive material of low intensity was kept in the house for the purpose of illegal act of animal hunting / traps, the officer said.

Injured is under treatment.
Case under relevant sections of law registered and investigation has been set into motion, the officer added.(GNS)

Government Orders Time-bound Enquiry Into Allegations Levelled Against Former Professional DE&CC/MC Kulgam

Srinagar, Aug 23 (GNS): Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered for a time-bound enquiry to look into allegations levelled against a former professional of DE&CC/MC Kulgam.

The inquiry officer Mahesh Kumar Manhas has been given ten day time period to submit a factual report along with recommendations to the Directorate of Employment.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Mr. Manesh Kr. Manhas, Deputy Director (P&S) in the Directorate of Employment, J&K as Inquiry Officer to conduct an enquiry into the charges/ allegations levelled by Sh.Nilesh Verma against Sh. Shahid Hussain, the then young Professional of DE&CC/MCC, Kulgam”, reads an order, a copy of which lies with GNS.

“The Inquiry Officer shall complete the enquiry and submit his factual report along with recommendations to the Directorate within a period of 10 days from the date of issuance of this order”, reads the order further. (GNS)

Bhaderwah’s Anmol Rathore tops JKCCE as 218 qualify exam

JAMMU, Aug 22: Young Anmol Rathore, hailing from the remote Udrana Village in Bhaderwah Town of Doda District, has secured the top position in the prestigious Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination (JKCCE) 2022-23.

The results were announced today, with a total of 218 candidates qualifying for the medical examination.

Daughter of retired J&K Bank Manager Rajiv Rathore and GDC Kishtwar Principal Jyoti Rathore, Anmol received her early education at New Era Public High School Kishtwar and further schooling at GD Goenka School in Jammu.

After successfully passing the CLAT examination in 2016, Rathore pursued her BA LLB degree at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, completing it in 2021.

Inspired by her parents, whom she considers her main motivators, Anmol attributed her success in the civil services examination to their support.

Although she had law as an optional subject, Anmol Rathore expressed surprise at her top ranking, admitting, “I hadn’t anticipated such an outcome.”

She conveyed her overwhelming joy at the achievement, stating that it might take some time for the reality of her success to sink in. (Daily Excelsior)

Central University Of Kashmir Admission Test-2023 (EXTENSION NOTICE)

The online registration for admission to the following programmes of this University advertised vide Notice
No.:CUKmr/EEW/Admissions/2023/CUKAT/5063 Dated: 09-06-2023 is hereby again re-opened till August 25,
2023. However, other terms and conditions shall remain the same as reproduced below:

Central University Of Kashmir Admission Test-2023

GENERAL GUIDELINES: -1. Admission to the above programmes shall be made on the basis of CUKAT-2023 to be conducted by the Central University of Kashmir.

2. Eligible candidates shall have to apply ONLINE through the website
www.cukashmir.ac.in or through the direct link https://cukashmiradm.samarth.edu.in/.

3. OFFLINE applications shall not be
accepted.

4. Candidates who are appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply.

However, such candidates must have passed the examination by or before the declaration of CUKAT-2023 results. All the candidates are required to produce the original marks sheets/degree certificates at the time of counselling, failing which their candidature shall not be considered for admissions.

5. The selection of candidates shall be strictly based on the merits cored in
the Entrance Examination/and GD/PI, wherever applicable.

6. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD candidates shall be as per Govt. of India (GOI) norms only. Please note SC category means Schedule Caste only and not the Social Caste.

Further, RBA doesn’t fall in the OBC category. The selected candidates are required to submit an OBC category certificate in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India (GOI).The candidates selected for Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Cyber Forensics shall have to study 2nd semester at the Rashtriya Rakhsha University (RRU), Gujarat that will make them eligible for
a twin degree of both these Universities.

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has declared the JKPSC KAS Result 2023 today, August 22. Candidates who appeared in the JK Combined Competitive Examination 2022 can check and download their results from the official website at jkpsc.nic.in.

The JKPSC KAS Mains Exam 2022 was conducted from February 20 to March 2, 2023, both at Jammu and Srinagar in which 3891 candidates appeared in all papers.

As per the official notification released, 34,121 candidates were provisionally admitted for the Preliminary examination. Besides, 3 candidates were allowed to appear on the directions of the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal.

Whereas., the General Administration Department, vide Communication No. GAD SERVOKAS/575/2021-02-GAD dated 18.04.2022, referred 220 posts to the J&K Public Service Commission for being filled up through the Combined Competitive Examination; and,

Whereas, these posts were advertised by the Commission vide Notification No. 08
PSC(DR-P) of 2022 dated:19.04.2022: and,

Whereas, 34,121 candidates were provisionally admitted for the Preliminary
Examination. Besides, 03 candidates were allowed to appear on the directions of Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal in O.A No. 527/2022 and 520/2022; and,

Whereas, Preliminary Examination was conducted on 31.07.2022, in which 23,571 candidates appeared in the Examination; and,

Whereas, as per the criteria fixed by the Commission, vide Notification No.
PSC/Exam/2022/22 dated: 17.08.2022, a total of 4944 candidates were declared to have qualified for the Mains Examination; and,

Whereas, J&K Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination, 2022, was conducted from 20.02.2023 to 02.03.2023, both at Jammu and Srinagar in which 3891 candidates appeared
in all papers; and,

Whereas, as per the criteria fixed by the Commission in accordance with SRO 103 of 2018 dated 23.02.2018, as amended from time to time, in pursuance of Decision No. 18.3 of 18th Meeting of the Commission held on 22.06.2023, 787 candidates were declared to have
qualified for interview vide Notification No. PSC/Exam(s) 2923/25 dated 22.06.2023; and,

Whereas, the Personality test (interview) of these candidates was conducted w.e.f
10.07.2023 to 22.08.2023 at the Srinagar Office of the J&K PSC: and,

Whereas, 05 candidates did not appear in the interview; and,

Whereas, the Commission in its Extra Ordinary Meeting held today on 22.08.2023 decided to declare the result of the candidates who appeared in the interview and also notify their aggregate marks while publishing list of candidates to be summoned for Medical Examination in accordance with the relevant rules.
