JKBOSE Issues Important Notification for Internal Assessment 2025: Submission Guidelines and Key Dates Announced

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important notification regarding the submission of Internal Assessment Awards for 10th and 12th classes under the Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division, including Leh. According to the official circular dated 27 October 2025, all Government and Private institutions affiliated with JKBOSE are required to submit their internal assessment marks for SSE (Class 10) and HSP-II (Class 12) examinations by or before 3rd November 2025.

The notification emphasizes strict compliance with submission guidelines and warns that any delay or procedural error may lead to penalties as per BOSE norms.

Deadline and Scope of the Notification

As per the notification, Heads of Institutions of Government and Private Schools under the jurisdiction of Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division, including Leh, must submit Internal Assessment Awards for all their students appearing in Class 10 (SSE) and Class 12 (HSP-II) Annual Regular 2025 (Nov–Dec Session).

  • Submission Deadline for Schools: On or before 03 November 2025
  • Compilation Deadline by Sub/Branch Offices: On or before 06 November 2025
  • Applicable Regions: Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division including Leh
  • Applicable Classes: 10th and 12th (SSE & HSP-II)

The Deputy Secretary (Secrecy), JKBOSE Jammu Division, will oversee the receipt and verification of these awards.

Where to Submit Internal Assessment Awards

Institutions are required to submit their internal assessment marks to their respective Sub/Branch Offices of JKBOSE, not directly to the main office.

Each Sub/Branch office will compile the received awards and forward them to the Deputy Secretary, Secrecy, JKBOSE Jammu Division, by the prescribed deadline (06-11-2025).

Detailed Instructions for Submission (As per JKBOSE Guidelines)

To maintain uniformity, transparency, and error-free records, JKBOSE has listed seven key instructions that every institution must strictly follow while preparing and submitting the internal assessment awards.

1. Prescribed Formats Must Be Used

Marks for both Class 10 and Class 12 must be recorded on official prescribed formats that can be downloaded from the official website of JKBOSE — www.jkbose.nic.in.
Separate formats are available for SSE (10th) and HSP-II (12th) classes.

2. Awards Must Be Error-Free and Legible

Institutions must ensure that all entries are legible, clean, and free from cutting or overwriting. Use of whiteners or corrections in any form is strictly prohibited.
Any discrepancy or tampering in the marksheets will render them invalid.

3. Absent Candidates Must Be Marked Properly

If a candidate is absent, it must be clearly indicated as “Absent” against the Roll Number.
No roll number column should be left blank under any circumstances.

4. Proper Attestation and Signatures Required

The Internal Assessment Awards must be submitted in duplicate copies.
Each copy must bear the proper signatures of subject examiners, duly attested by the Head of the Institution.
Unsigned or unauthenticated records will not be accepted.

5. Submission via Sub/Branch Offices Only

JKBOSE has made it clear that no internal assessment will be accepted through email or post.
All awards must be routed through the concerned Sub/Branch Offices and then to the Divisional Office, Jammu.
This ensures authenticity and proper record maintenance.

6. Complete Roll Numbers Must Be Mentioned

Each internal assessment award must mention the complete examination roll numbers of the candidates to avoid confusion during evaluation and data entry.

7. Record Maintenance by Institutions

All Government and Private Institutions of Jammu Division must maintain:

  • A copy of the internal assessment record (candidate-wise and subject-wise).
  • The record must be duly signed by the concerned Examiner, Examination Incharge, and Principal/Head of Institution (HOI).
  • This record will be essential for future consultations or verification by JKBOSE authorities.

Accountability of Heads of Institutions

The notification also highlights accountability for institutional heads.
If any institution fails to submit the internal assessment awards within the stipulated time, or fails to comply with the instructions, the responsibility will entirely lie on the Head of the Institution.

JKBOSE has clearly stated that no request for condonation of delay will be entertained and any lapse will attract post-examination penalties as per BOSE rules.

Official Communication Details

The notification, bearing reference number F (Secrecy VIII-Noti. Int.)B/JD/25, was issued on 27 October 2025 by the Joint Secretary (Secrecy), JKBOSE Jammu Division.

  • Joint Secretary (Examination), JD
  • Deputy Secretary (Examination Unit-VIII), JD

  • Assessing the consistent performance of students during the academic session.
  • Reducing the over-reliance on final exams.
  • Encouraging practical learning and continuous assessment.
  • Providing an opportunity for students to improve through project work, assignments, and practicals.

Hence, timely submission and accurate documentation of internal assessments ensure that students’ final results reflect their true performance throughout the year.

Common Mistakes Institutions Should Avoid

Based on previous years’ experiences, schools are advised to avoid the following errors:

  1. Submitting incomplete roll numbers.
  2. Sending awards through email or postal service.
  3. Failing to attest signatures properly.
  4. Leaving any column blank.
  5. Submitting beyond the deadline.

JKBOSE has clarified that any such mistake may lead to non-acceptance of the assessment awards or delayed results.

Final Word from JKBOSE

Through this notification, JKBOSE reiterates its commitment to maintaining transparency and timely conduct of examinations.
All affiliated schools are advised to act promptly and submit their internal assessment records well before the last date to avoid last-minute rush or discrepancies.

The Board also encourages institutions to keep digital backups of all internal assessment data and ensure records are securely preserved for verification purposes.

Conclusion

The JKBOSE Internal Assessment 2025 Notification is a crucial reminder for all schools in the Jammu Division (Winter Zone). Timely and accurate submission of internal awards ensures smooth processing of examination results and maintains the credibility of the academic evaluation system.

All Heads of Institutions are urged to adhere to the provided guidelines, use official formats, and ensure complete compliance before the 03 November 2025 deadline.

200 Units of Free Electricity for AAY Households to Begin After Rooftop Solar Installation: J&K Govt

Scheme under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana to Benefit 2.22 Lakh Families in J&K

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday informed the Legislative Assembly that the promise of 200 units of free electricity made by the Chief Minister earlier this year will be implemented only after the commissioning of rooftop solar systems under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

In a written reply to a question raised by MLA Waheed Parra as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the government said the scheme will benefit 2.22 lakh Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) households, with each home equipped with a 2-kilowatt rooftop solar system.

“The Detailed Project Reports and tendering process for installation are currently under preparation in the respective DISCOMs,” the reply stated, adding that the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has already granted in-principle approval for implementation through the RESCO/Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) model.

Once operational, the rooftop solar systems will provide up to 200 units of free electricity per month to each beneficiary household. The government emphasized that the model ensures financial sustainability and prevents losses to power distribution corporations.

“The delay in implementation is due to procedural requirements like DPR preparation, finalizing tenders, and setting up the ULA model,” the government explained.

The reply also highlighted that 6.52 lakh smart meters have been installed across Jammu and Kashmir so far, including 2.81 lakh in the last two years, under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme and the Prime Minister’s Development Package.

The government clarified that there is no proposal to privatize the installation, maintenance, or management of smart meters, and that service providers are engaged only for project implementation under strict regulatory and contractual oversight, ensuring transparency and accountability. —(KNC)

SBI Recruitment 2025: State Bank of India to Hire 3,500 Officers – Apply Soon for Probationary & Specialist Roles

The State Bank of India (SBI), the nation’s largest public sector lender, has announced a massive recruitment drive for around 3,500 officers across various categories to strengthen its operations and improve customer service throughout India. This upcoming SBI Recruitment 2025 aims to fill vacancies for Probationary Officers (POs), Specialist Officers (SOs), and Circle-Based Officers (CBOs), creating new career opportunities for banking aspirants across the country.

According to Kishore Kumar Poludasu, Deputy Managing Director (HR) and Chief Development Officer (CDO) of SBI, the bank has already recruited 505 Probationary Officers earlier this year, and a new round of applications for additional officer positions is currently underway. The initiative is part of SBI’s ongoing expansion and modernization strategy to enhance customer engagement and digital banking capabilities.

SBI Recruitment 2025 Highlights

Category Vacancies (Approx.) Status
Probationary Officers (POs) 500+ Applications received
IT & Cybersecurity Officers 1,300 Selection completed
Circle-Based Officers (CBOs) 3,000 Recruitment ongoing
Clerical Staff 13,500 Completed earlier this year

In total, SBI plans to recruit around 18,000 employees in the current financial year, including 13,500 clerical staff and nearly 4,500 officer-level roles.

Probationary Officer (PO) Recruitment Process

The recruitment of SBI Probationary Officers (POs) is one of the most sought-after opportunities in India’s banking sector. The selection process involves three rigorous stages to ensure the highest quality of candidates are chosen for leadership roles within the bank.

1. Preliminary Examination

This is an online objective test that screens candidates for the next stage. It tests aptitude, reasoning, and general awareness.

2. Main Examination

The main exam includes both objective and descriptive sections, focusing on data analysis, financial management, banking awareness, and written communication.

3. Psychometric Test and Interview

Candidates who qualify the main exam are called for a psychometric assessment followed by a personal interview. These stages help assess leadership qualities, decision-making skills, and emotional intelligence.

According to Poludasu, advertisements for 541 PO vacancies have already been released, and the application process is currently active. Interested candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official SBI careers portal for further updates.

Specialist Officer (SO) and IT Recruitment

SBI is also expanding its technological and cybersecurity infrastructure, reflecting the bank’s commitment to digital transformation. Around 1,300 specialist officers have been recruited to strengthen IT operations and safeguard the bank’s massive digital network.

These positions include roles in:

  • Cybersecurity & Information Security
  • Data Analytics
  • IT Infrastructure Management
  • Network Engineering
  • Digital Banking Platforms

Such specialist roles are essential for maintaining the integrity, performance, and innovation of SBI’s services in an increasingly digital economy.

Circle-Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment

In addition to POs and SOs, the bank is in the process of hiring around 3,000 Circle-Based Officers (CBOs). These officers will handle regional operations, ensuring smooth coordination between branches and headquarters. The recruitment process for CBOs is expected to be completed within the current financial year, according to SBI’s HR department.

SBI’s Recruitment Vision for 2025

Earlier this year, SBI Chairman C. S. Setty announced that the total recruitment across various categories would touch 18,000 positions, marking one of the largest hiring drives by a public sector bank in recent times. The focus areas include frontline banking, digital operations, and customer service enhancement.

The recruitment is not only about filling vacancies — it’s about future-proofing the workforce. SBI’s leadership emphasizes that hiring young, tech-savvy, and customer-oriented professionals will help the bank maintain its competitive edge in a fast-evolving financial landscape.

SBI’s Workforce and Gender Diversity Goals

SBI currently employs over 2.4 lakh people, making it one of the largest employers in India’s financial sector. The bank’s HR head, Poludasu, shared that a major focus going forward will be on improving gender diversity and creating an inclusive work environment.

At present:

  • Women make up 27% of the total workforce.
  • Among frontline staff, women constitute 33%.
  • The bank aims to raise this overall figure to 30% within the next five years.

To achieve this, SBI has rolled out several women-centric initiatives designed to support female employees in balancing career aspirations with personal responsibilities.

Women-Centric Initiatives at SBI

SBI has launched multiple programs to empower women in the organization and help them advance into leadership roles. These initiatives include:

1. Creche Allowances for Working Mothers

To support young mothers, SBI provides financial assistance for child care, making it easier for them to return to work post-maternity.

2. Family Connect Programme

This initiative allows employees to maintain strong family ties while pursuing professional growth. It’s aimed at improving work-life balance and emotional well-being.

3. Returnship Support

Women returning from maternity, sabbatical, or extended sick leave are provided with training, upskilling sessions, and mentorship to reintegrate smoothly into the workplace.

4. Empower Her Leadership Programme

One of SBI’s flagship diversity initiatives, “Empower Her”, is a structured leadership development program designed exclusively for women. It includes:

  • Mentorship and Coaching Sessions
  • Leadership Labs
  • Career Development Workshops

The program identifies and grooms talented women for future leadership roles, ensuring better representation of women at senior management levels.

Why SBI Recruitment 2025 Matters

SBI’s large-scale recruitment comes at a crucial time when the Indian banking sector is witnessing rapid transformation through AI, fintech integration, and digital banking. The fresh intake of officers will not only address existing manpower shortages but also drive innovation and customer experience across the bank’s vast network of over 22,000 branches.

Additionally, this recruitment drive demonstrates SBI’s commitment to:

  • Strengthening public sector employment opportunities
  • Enhancing digital and cybersecurity capacity
  • Promoting gender equality and inclusion
  • Supporting economic growth through job creation
