Says Verifying The Source Of Viral Vide So That Law Enforcement authorities Can Take Strict Action

Srinagar, April 27(GNS) The school education department J&K on Saturday clarified that no objectionable content has been prescribed in any textbook by JKBOSE, developed by NCERT.

Taking on to the social media platform X, The School Education Department posted, “There is some objectionable content page from a book being circulated on social media. As verified, from the textbooks prescribed and developed by JKBOSE, there is no such content in JKBOSE textbooks. Moreover, no book having such content has been developed by NCERT, nor has it been prescribed in any of JK schools.
We are verifying the source of this video so that the law enforcement authorities can take strict action, reads the post.

Meanwhile Budgam Police Also posted on X Platform, “In the background of circulation of objectionable content from a book,school education department has posted that there is neither any such content in JK BOSE textbooks nor any such content has been developed by NCERT besides that it has not been prescribed in any J&K schools.
People are requested not to pay heed to rumours to vitiate the atmosphere of peace and harmony.
Anyone found indulging in such activities will be strictly dealt under law,”.(GNS)

JEE Advanced 2024: Registration Opens Today – Apply for IIT JEE Now

JEE Advanced 2024 registration will begin today, April 27, 2024. The steps to apply is given here.

Indian Institute of Technology, Madras will begin JEE Advanced 2024 registration on April 27, 2024. Candidates who want to apply for IIT JEE can find the direct link on the official website of JEE Advanced at jeeadv.ac.in. The registration link will be activated at 5 pm.

Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2024 to apply for IIT JEE examination. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.

JEE Advanced 2024: How to register

To apply online, candidates can follow the steps given below.

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced at jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Click on JEE Advanced 2024 link available on the home page.
  • A new page will open where candidates can register online.
  • Once registration is done, login to the account.
  • Fill the application form and make the payment of application fee.
  • Click on submit and download the page.
  • Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

The registration fee for female candidates, SC, ST and PwD category candidates is ₹1600/- and for all other candidates is ₹3200/- who are Indians. The fee should be paid online.

Rain and Snow Forecasted in Jammu & Kashmir from April 26th-29th April

Jammu & Kashmir residents, brace yourselves for a weather spectacle as meteorologists predict a series of atmospheric events starting April 26th. According to the latest updates from the MET Centre in Srinagar, the region is expected to experience a mix of rain and snowfall, marking a transition from the dry spell of recent days.

Starting from April 26th to 27th, cloudy skies will prevail, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall in many areas. Higher reaches are likely to witness snowfall, adding a picturesque layer to the landscape.

The anticipation heightens for April 28th and 29th, as the forecast suggests widespread cloudy conditions with a higher probability of rainfall and snowfall, especially in the mountainous regions. Heavy rain is expected to drench isolated areas, particularly in the Jammu & Kashmir Division. Additionally, thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds may sweep through, urging caution among residents and travelers alike.

On April 30th, scattered areas may experience light rain accompanied by thunder. However, a respite is in sight from May 1st to 5th, as generally dry weather is anticipated across the region.

Despite the visual treat nature has in store, authorities are issuing advisories to stay vigilant. Farmers are advised to suspend operations from April 26th onwards, anticipating disruptions due to inclement weather. Furthermore, temporary traffic disruptions are expected over higher mountain passes like Zojila, Sinthan Pass, Mughal Road, and Razdan Pass, particularly on April 28th. Low-lying areas may face waterlogging, and there’s a possibility of landslides and shooting stones, urging caution among residents.

Moreover, there may be a temporary increase in water levels in Jehlum streams and Nallas, necessitating precautionary measures.

As the region prepares for this atmospheric extravaganza, residents are urged to stay informed and heed official warnings to ensure safety and mitigate any potential risks associated with the forecasted weather conditions.

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 25-04-2024, 1700 hrs. to 26-04-2024, 1700 hrs., Jammu-Srinagar NHW remained blocked for 02 hrs due to repair work at Dalwas. Slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of 07 HMVs, 13 nomadic flocks, single lane traffic at Dalwas, Mehad, Panthyal, Nachlana, Gangroo, Shalgarhi etc. and poor surface condition of road at many places between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel. 2. Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-Srinagar

NHW during day time as movement of nomads towards Kashmir Valley may cause

inconvenience to the commuters and apprehension of shooting stones between

Ramban and Banihal.

3. Load carrier (HMV/LMV) Operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock are

advised to load their vehicle as per advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters

time to time as there is single lane traffic and poor condition of road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Shalgarhi etc. on Jammu Srinagar NHW. 4. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking

journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

5. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 27-04-2024:- Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44)

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice- versa. However, HMVs shall be managed on regulated manner after assessing the road condition.

Cut off timing for LMVs in view of single road at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Kishtwari Pather etc:- (subject to change depending on road condition) from Nagrota (Jammu) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs from Jakheni (Udhampur) 0700 hrs to 1400 hrs & from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

SFs Convoy Movement:-

Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of possible traffic congestion because of narrow carriage way between Nashree and Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Tomorrow they may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.

SSG ROAD

Subject to fair weather and good road condition (after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies), only one way traffic for LMVS 4X4 (passenger/Load carrier) from Srinagar towards Kargil shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. These vehicles shall be allowed from Sonamarg at 0800 hrs upto 1100 hrs. Motorists are advised to carry anti-skid chain to gain more grip on the slippery road. No vehicle shall be allowed without anti skid chain/after cut off timing.

Mughal Road:-

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, (after getting green signal from road maintenance agency), only one way traffice for LMVs from Shopian towards Poonch on Mughal road shall be allowed. These vehicles shall be allowed from Herpora (Shopian) 1000 hrs to 1400 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

Bhaderwah-Chamba road:-

Bhaderwah-Chamba road is still blocked due to snow accumulation..

People are advised to undertake journey on NH-44 only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-

The UPSC annual calendar shows the schedule for the recruitment exams and tests across various fields that are being conducted by the commission for the year.

The UPSC recruitment exams/ tests for 2025 begin with Reserved for UPSC RT/ Examination for two days which starts on January 11, 2025. After which the Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination and Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination are scheduled to be conducted on February 9, 2025.

N.D.A. & N.A. Examination (I), 2025, and C.D.S. Examination (I), 2025, are scheduled to be conducted on April 13, 2025. Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025, and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 through CS(P) Examination 2025, will be conducted on May 25, 2025.
