NMC Introduces Another Chance for COVID-Impacted 2020-21 MBBS Batch

In a public notice signed by Shambhu Sharan Kumar, Director of the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), NMC said, “National Medical Commission decided to allow one additional attempt (5 th attempt) to such MBBS Students who were admitted in medical colleges during the academic year 2020-21 and could not pass their first professional MBBS examination, as this batch was also affected by COVID 19 Pandemics.”

“This shall be a one-time measure and may not be treated as a precedence for future,” it added.

In a separate development, the NMC has released a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and answers regarding foreign medical graduates who studied in Russia and Ukraine.

The FAQs are explanations of a previous notice in which NMC issued clarifications on various issues faced by Indian Medical students in Ukraine and the Philippines.

Besides other relaxations, the NMC had allowed foreign medical graduates from Ukraine to continue their study from a different country (except India).

Centre to introduce J&K women reservation bill in Lok Sabha today

Srinagar, Dec 12 (KNO): The Government of India is set to introduce a bill in the Parliament on Tuesday to grant 33 percent reservation for women in the Legislative Assembly of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation(Amendment)Bill-2023 is being introduce today in the Lok Sabha for granting 33 percent reservation for women in J&K UT Assembly.

The bill is being brought as “The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Eighth Amendment) Bill-2023, cleared by the Parliament in the special session convened in September this year for granting reservation for women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies, was not applicable to Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory.

As already reported by KNO, women leaders from Jammu & Kashmir have welcomed the move.

On November 30, KNO reported that National Conference (NC) Women’s wing President, Shamima Firdous had welcomed the move.

“It is a welcome move as it would help in dealing with the issues and concerns of womenfolk in a better way,” she had said.

Former minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Syed Asiya Naqash said that her party was always in favour of the women reservation.

“The decision to grant 33 percent reservation for women is a welcome move, but such decisions should be taken only by the elected representatives of Jammu and Kashmir,” she had said.

CBSE Date Sheet 2024 Class 12 – Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the CBSE 12th date sheet 2024 any moment now, on the official website– cbse.gov.in, cbse.nic.in. With the announcement of UP Board time table, ICSE, ISC time table 2024, it is expected that CBSE will also release the CBSE date sheet 2024 anytime soon. The CBSE Exam Date 2024 has already been declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the comprehensive CBSE Board Exam Date Sheet 2024 for students in grades 10 and 12 will be made available on www.cbse.gov.in shortly.

The dates of the Class 10 and 12 theoretical examinations by CBSE are scheduled from February 15 to April 10, 2024, while the dates of the practical exams are declared from January 1 to February 14, 2024.

Cold wave hits Kashmir, Sgr records coldest night of season at minus 4.8 degree Celsius

MeT predicts light rains, snowfall at isolated higher reaches from tomorrow

Srinagar, Dec 11: While the cold conditions continued to prevail across the Valley, the weatherman here has predicted light rains and snowfall at isolated higher reaches from tomorrow (Tuesday).

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, recorded the coldest night of the season at minus 4.8 degree Celsius.

The sub-zero temperature has been recorded across all the stations while Qazigund, the gateway of Kashmir, also recorded the coldest night of the season at minus 3.4 degree Celsius.

Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort, has recorded a low of minus 3.6 degree Celsius while Pahalgam, a famous tourist place, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 4.7 degree Celsius.

In Kupwara, the mercury settled at minus 4.0 degree Celsius while in Kokernag, a minimum temperature of minus 2.4 degree Celsius was recorded.

Meanwhile, amid the sharp decline in the minimum temperatures, the weatherman here has predicted light rain and snowfall at isolated higher reaches from Tuesday.

“There is a possibility of light rains and snowfall at isolated higher reaches of Kashmir from December 12-15. However, no major activity is expected during the period in Jammu & Kashmir—(KNO)

8th Pass Anganwadi Recruitment 2023

1. Mr. Mohammad Ashraf, a seasoned officer holding the position of Deputy Director (Administration) in the Directorate of Social Welfare, Kashmir, is now reassigned as the Deputy District Election Officer in Srinagar.

2. Mr. Mohammad Rafeeq Shat, currently serving as Deputy Director in Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, will now take charge as the Deputy District Election Officer in Bandipore.

3. Mr. Noor-ud-din Bhat, who previously held the position of Deputy District Election Officer in Bandipore, is reassigned to the role of Deputy Director in Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir.

4. Mr. Shakeel Hussain, Deputy District Election Officer in Srinagar, is now appointed as Deputy Director (Administration) in the Directorate of Social Welfare, Kashmir.

5. Mr. Om Parkash, serving as District Panchayat Officer, Real, has been transferred and will now assume the role of Deputy District Election Officer in Doda.

6. Mr. Harvinder Singh, who was the Private Secretary with the Chairman, Advisory Board under 38K Public Safety Act, is set to take on the responsibilities of Deputy District Election Officer in Samba, filling an existing vacancy.

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 10-12-2023, 1700 hrs. to 11-12-2023, 1700 hrs., Jammu- Srinagar NHW remained blocked for 2 hours 40 mins due to shooting stones at Mehad-Cafeteria Ramban, there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of HMVs and poor surface condition of road at Dalwas and single lane traffic at Cafeteria-Mehad, Magerkote, Nachlana between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. Passengers/LMVS operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time. Please avoid journey during night hours as apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.

3. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

4. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 12-12-2023:-

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars/HMVs/Load Carriers shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice- versa. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline.

SFS Convoy Movement:-

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.

SSG ROAD

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road shall be allowed from both sides viz Srinagar towards Kargil and vice-versa. LMVs followed by HMVS shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar between 0830 hrs. to 1100 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVS shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil between 1230 hrs to 1530 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timings.

SFS Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil, shall leave Srinagar at 0800 hrs. SFS Convoy plying from Drass to Srinagar shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic doesn’t get disturbed.

Mughal Road:-

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement on Mughal road shall be allowed from both sides viz. Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) between 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut of timings

JKBOPEE Conduct of Second Physical Upgradation/Allotment round of counselling for admission to (12th Based) Paramedical and D. Pharmacy (excluding ANM, GNM) Courses-2023. [12B-BPM-NN-136 Dt. 10-12-2023]

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has issued Notification No. 136-BOPEE of 2023 dated 10-12-2023, announcing the commencement of the Second Physical Upgradation/Allotment round of counselling for admission to (12th Based) Paramedical and D. Pharmacy courses for the year 2023.

This decision follows the earlier Notification No. 105-BOPEE of 2023 dated 29.10.2023, where the Board received a shortfall of seats from various Government/Private Colleges/Institutions in the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh. In an effort to fill these vacant seats, along with those remaining unfilled after the First Round of Counselling held from 05.10.2023 to 23.10.2023, the Board has decided to conduct a Second Round of counselling.

The counselling is scheduled to take place according to a specified timetable. Eligible candidates are advised to report to the BOPEE office in Srinagar or Jammu on their respective date/day of counselling between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for Registration and other necessary formalities.

This initiative aims to ensure that all available seats are filled, providing deserving candidates with the opportunity to pursue Paramedical Diploma Courses based on their 12th-grade qualifications. The physical nature of the counselling process emphasizes the importance of in-person participation for a smooth and efficient allocation of seats.

Candidates aspiring to secure admission are urged to adhere to the stipulated schedule, facilitating a streamlined process that aligns with the Board’s commitment to transparency and fairness in the admission procedure. It is notified for information of all the students of B. Tech. 2nd Semester Regular Batch 2022 & Previous Backlog Batches and B. Tech. 4th Semester Regular Batch 2021 & Previous Backlog Batches that the link for submission of online examination forms shall remain open from 12-12-2023 to 16-12-2023

Concerned students are directed to submit their examination forms along with the prescribed fee on the University website (www.cusrinagar.edu.in) through student login.

Students who have not appeared in their internal examination are not eligible for external examination.

Students who fail to submit their examination forms within the stipulated time line shall have to pay late fee along with the prescribed fee as per the University norms.
