Srinagar, Sep 08 (KNO): School Education Department Friday directed the lecturers to teach 9th and 10th standard students besides their routine duty of teaching senior secondary students.

The department said that the move was aimed to improve the academic standard.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Deputy Secretary to government said, “It is impressed upon lecturers of School Education Department to exuberantly involve themselves in teaching at 9th and 10th level besides at the plus-2 level.”

The officer said that the directives were issued in order to improve the academic standard in School Education Department and chisel the talented students of Jammu and Kashmir by way of tapping the professional talent of the able lecturers available in the department.

“This way the students shall be exposed to qualified and experienced staff for competing at the national level in various competitive exams,” the officer said.

The government said, “The Head of institutions and lecturers shall comply these instructions in letter and spirit and report in this regard shall be submitted by concerned Chief Education Officers on monthly basis.”—(KNO)

Srinagar, Sep 08 (KNO): Amid persistent hot and dry weather conditions in Jammu & Kashmir, the weatherman here has predicted continuous deficit rainfall for the next 10 days in the Union Territory.

Director Meteorological (MeT), Sonum Lotus told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that weather conditions across Jammu & Kashmir remained hot & dry.

He added that Kupwara was hottest in Kashmir today where a maximum temperature of 33.3 degree Celsius was recorded & Jammu City was the hottest in the division at 35.7 degree Celsius.

According to Director MeT, Kokernag and Qazigund witnessed heat wave conditions today where mercury settled at 31.3 degree Celsius and 31.5 degree Celsius respectively.

Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir has recorded a maximum temperature of 32 degree Celsius today.

As of now, due to stable atmospheric conditions, mainly hot & dry weather would likely prevail for next one week, he said.

Giving details about rainfall in the past couple of months, Lotus said that excess rainfall was recorded in J&K in July month while August and September so far received a deficit rainfall.

He added that the deficit rainfall will continue for at least next 10 days—(KNO)

IGNOU TEE December 2023 registration for the term-end examination has begun at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The students can fill up the application forms on the official website at exam.ignou.ac.in.

The application window will be open on September 30 till 6 PM. According to the university, the IGNOU TEE December 2023 exam will be conducted between 1 December 2023 to 6 January 2024.

Srinagar, Sept 08 (KNO): Jammu & Kashmir High Court on Friday quashed detention orders of Moulana Abdul Rashid Dawoodi and Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri, who were booked under Public Safety Act.

According to details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Court quashed the detention orders of both religious clerics who were booked under the PSA in 2022.

Both clerics have large following in the Kashmir Valley. While Dawoodi is the head of ‘Tehreek-e- Sout-ul Auliya’, Veeri is affiliated with Jamiat-Ahle-Hadees (JaH)—(KNO)

CBSE Board Exams 2024: No Extension Of Last Date For Filling Up Class 10th, 12th LOC Form; Board Issues Statement

CBSE LOC Submission 2023 Last Date: The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) has released an important circular, directing all the heads of schools to complete their submission of the List of Candidates(LOC) for classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2023-24 on time. “Staff engaged for filling up of details should also be made aware of all the guidelines which are laid down in the said circular to avoid mistakes,” the Board in an official notification said. Students and Heads of Schools can go through the official website – https://www.cbse.gov.in.

The submission of correct data of the students is highly important to avoid future problems to the candidates. The schools are therefore requested to plan the timely submission of data of the students. In addition to this, they must ensure that the filled-in data is correct. Subject correction after submission of LOC will not be entertained in any manner. No window for correction in the uploaded data will be made available.

CBSE LOC Form 2023

The last date to submit the CBSE LOC form without a late fee is September 18, 2023. Meanwhile, the last date to apply by paying late fees is September 19, 2023. Submission of LOC will be done through the e-pariksha link given on the CBSE Website – cbse.gov.in.

After submission of LOC, no request for change of subject, admission in Classes X and XII (except on transfer cases) and concessions for CWSN shall be considered by the Board. Indian Navy Recruitment 2023: Applications for recruitment to the post of Tradesman Mate at the HQ Andaman and Nicobar Command have been invited by the Indian Navy. Eligible candidates. Candidates willing to register can visit the official website of ANC Command at karmic.andaman.gov.in/HQANC and apply for the vacancies. They should note that the last date to apply for the posts is till September 25. However, the Indian Navy Recruitment drive is conducted to fill a total of 362 vacancies in the department. Among the offered posts, 338 vacancies are for Tradesman Mate posts while 24 seats are for Tradesman Mate for NAD, Dollygunj posts.

The official notification also states that applicants are not required to send a copy of the application form or any document to the office. However, candidates must take a printout of the Application form and bring it to the examination hall on the day of examination.
