CUET UG 2024: Admit Cards Released for May 29th Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the admit card for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 May 29 exam. The exams will be held at the Delhi and Silchar centres. Students set to appear in the examination can access their admit cards by visiting the official website.

Students can download their admit cards using their application number and date of birth as login credentials.

Earlier, the National Testing Agency  (NTA) had postponed the May 15 CUET UG 2024 exam for the Delhi centre and the May 24 exam for the Silchar centre to May 29 due to “unavoidable circumstances”.

UGC chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar on Friday stated, “For the test papers to be conducted on May 29, 2024, in Pen and Paper (OMR) mode, NTA will issue fresh Admit Cards for the concerned candidates either tonight or tomorrow.”

The CUET UG 2024 exam started on May 15. The exams are being conducted in pen-and-paper as well as computer-based modes.

Application Deadline Extended For Joint CSIR-UGC NET, Check Details

The deadline for filling the Joint CSIR UGC NET applications has been extended to May 27, 2024.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for the submission of online applications for Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam scheduled for June, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can register for the exam by May 27, 2024. The application process will continue upto 11:50 pm on the last day. The previous date for the registration was May 21, 2024.

The application process for the CSIR-UGC NET started on May 1, 2024.

The deadline for the payment of exam fee has also been extended to May 27, 2024. The previous date for the submission of fee was May 23, 2024.

The correction window for making changes in the exam form will be operational from May 29-31, 2024. No changes have been made to the date of the exam. The test will be held from June 25-27, 2024.

Joint CSIR UGC NET is a test conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor and admission to PhD in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.

The fellowship programme is aimed at National Science and Technology Human Resource Development. A large number of JRFs are awarded each year by CSIR to candidates after qualifying the test conducted by it.

Srinagar, May 26(GNS): Amid forecast for continuation of “heatwave” in plains of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions, night temperature recorded an increase in J&K on Sunday, officials said.

A meteorological department official here told GNS that generally dry weather is expected till May 28 even through possibility of thundershower activity at isolated places cannot be ruled out.

From May 29-31, he said, partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain and thunder is likely at isolated places towards afternoon.

Overall, he said, there is no significant weather activity expected till the end of this month.

“Heat wave over plains of Jammu & Kashmir divisions and hot & dry weather is likely over hilly districts during next three days,” he said, adding, “People should avoid heat exposure and drink lot of fluid and water.”

Meanwhile, night temperature also continued to stay above normal with Srinagar recording a low of 15.7°C against 13.8°C on the previous night and it was 3.7°C above normal for the summer capital of JK for this time of the year.

Qazigund recorded a minimum of 12.6°C against 10.4°C on the previous night and it was 1.9°C above normal for the gateway town of Kashmir, he said.

Pahalgam recorded a low of 8.3°C against 7.3°C on the previous night and it was 2.2°C normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.

Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum of 13.2°C against 11.1°C and it was 2.6°C above normal, the official said.

Kupwara town recorded a minimum of 11.5°C against 11.3°C on the previous night and it was above normal by 0.9°C for the place, the official said.

Gulmarg recorded a minimum of 11.0°C against 9.0°C on the previous night and it was above normal by 3.9°C for the world famous skiing resort in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Jammu, he said, recorded a low of 24.5°C against 22.4°C on the previous night and it was below normal by 0.4°C for the winter capital of J&K. Banihal recorded a low of 15.0°C, Batote 18.4°C and Bhaderwah 15.4°C, he said. (GNS)
