What is the Reevaluation Process IGNOU Result?

After the results have been released, any student who is dissatisfied with their IGNOU Term End Exam results can ask for a re-evaluation. During re-evaluation, the examiner looks over the answer sheet and, if necessary, provides new marks. The re-evaluation form for the paper(s) must be submitted within 40 days (before, it was 30 days) of the announcement of the results. Re-evaluation costs Rs 750 for each course or paper. Private School in Srinagar Fined Rs 16 Lakh by FFRC

FFRC imposes fine of Rs 16 Lakh to Pvt School in Srinagar

Srinagar, Sep 11: The Committee for Fixation and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools, J&K (FFRC) Wednesday directed one of the leading private school to pay Rs 16 lacs within a period of 15 days for violating its orders.

According to the official communique of FFRC, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in August-2024, the school management was directed to deposit Rs 9.60 lacs within the period of ten days as penalty.

“Ten days were given to the school management to deposit the said amount, the next date fixed in the case was September-02-2024,” it reads.

It also said that the school had submitted its file for regulation of its fees structure which was processed and accordingly the fees structure of the school was regulated and fixed. “Despite the fees being fixed by the committee the school management in violation of the committee order started charging higher fees which continues till date.”

FFRC Chairman, Justice (Retd) Sunil Hali in the fresh order said that after observing that the school management was violating the orders of committee invoked sub clause (e) (f) of Rule 12 and imposed a penalty of 1 percent initially.

“This order was challenged in the Hon’ble High Court and the High Court has stayed only part of the direction which was in respect of taking over the Management of School while as imposing of penalty was not stayed,” it reads.

“The order was not complied by the school management as a consequence of which, second default was committed, as a result of which the order on August-19-2024 was passed, whereby penalty of 3 percent as provided by the rules was imposed amounting to Rs 9.60 lacs,” it reads.

FFRC also said that the school management was directed to appear before committee on
September-05-2024 but the management did not appear.

“In view if this, the school management is directed to pay Rs 16 Lakhs within a period of 15 days from the issuance of this order. In case the school management fails to comply with this order, the matter will be referred to the Tehsildar Recoveries, Srinagar for recovering this amount as arrear of land revenue in terms of Regulation 12 Sub clause (i),” FFRC said—(KNO)

The Directorate of Admissions and Competitive Examinations at the University of Kashmir has issued an important update for candidates who appeared in the Kashmir University Entrance Test (KUET) for the 2024 session. Traffic Plan and Advisory for tomorrow (12 September 2024)

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR
1. From 10-09-2024, 1700 hrs. to 11-09-2024, 1700 hrs., there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to the breakdown of 05 HMVs, single-lane traffic at Dalwas, Mehad, and between Marog & Kishtwari Pather.
2. Passengers/LMV operators are advised to undertake a journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during the daytime due to the apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.
3. Load carrier (HMV/LMV) operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock are advised to load their vehicle as per the advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters from time to time as there is single-lane traffic and poor road conditions at Dalwas, Mehad, and between Marog & Kishtwari Pather on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.
4. HMV operators/owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during the journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double-check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking the journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.
5. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 12-09-2024:
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMV passengers/private cars/HMVs shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban for road conditions.

SFs Convoy Movement:
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.

Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement (only LMVs) on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road shall be allowed from both sides viz from Anantnag towards Kishtwar and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Daksum and Chingam (Chatroo) between 0800 hrs to 1500 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after the cutoff timing.

SSG ROAD
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, (after getting the green signal from road maintenance agencies) traffic movement shall be allowed in a regulated manner on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar at 0600 hrs. to 1130 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil at 1330 hrs to 1900 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after the cutoff timing. SFs Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil and vice versa, shall plan their movement in such a manner so that civil traffic (both UP and DOWN) does not get disturbed.

Mughal Road:
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement (LMVs followed by HMVs up to 10 tyres) on Mughal road shall be allowed from both sides viz. from Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) at 0600 hrs. up to 1800 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after the cutoff timing.

Bhaderwah-Chamba road:
Bhaderwah-Chamba road is open for vehicular movement.

Teacher suspended for violating MCC in Poonch

Poonch, Sep 11: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Poonch has suspended a Grade-II teacher, from Government Middle School Dhangri, Zone Sathra, for allegedly participating in political activities during the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.

In this regards, an order issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Poonch, a copy of which lies with the News Vibes of India, reads Shazia Amin, a Grade-II teacher in Government Middle School Dhangri, Zone Sathra, was, reportedly, engaged in political activities related to the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections, and was suspended by the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Poonch, based on a report by the Returning Officer for the 89-Poonch Haveli Assembly constituency.

It reads as the contribution of a teacher in a political rally with images circulating on social media, thus flouting the Model Code of Conduct, invited immediate disciplinary action.

“Pending an inquiry, Shazia Amin has been suspended and attached to DNRMM Girls Higher Secondary School, Poonch. An inquiry into the incident has been initiated, with the Principal of Model Higher Secondary School, Sawjian, and Principal of DNRMM Girls Higher Secondary School, Poonch as enquiry officers. They are expected to submit a report within a week,” reads the order.—(NVI)
