The Department of Geoinformatics at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, is inviting applications for various project-based positions in two DST-sponsored research projects. These positions are initially for a one-year period, extendable based on project requirements.
Available Positions:
- Senior Project Associate (1 Post)
- Salary: Rs. 42,000 + HRA
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate Science
- Desirable: 2 years of post-doctoral research experience in glaciology/climate modeling/glacial geomorphology.
- Project Associate-II (1 Post)
- Salary: Rs. 35,000 + HRA
- Essential Qualification: 60% marks in M.Sc. Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate Science
- Desirable: 2 years of research experience in glaciology.
- Project Associate-I (1 Post)
- Salary: Rs. 31,000 + HRA
- Essential Qualification: 60% marks in M.Sc. Geoinformatics/Geology/Meteorology/Climate Science
- Desirable: 1 year of research experience in glaciology.

- Scientific Administrative Assistant/Field Worker (1 Post)
- Salary: Rs. 20,000 + HRA
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Geoinformatics/Geology with at least 60% marks
- Desirable: Experience in glacier fieldwork (preference given to male candidates).
- Scientific Administrative Assistant (1 Post)
- Salary: Rs. 18,000 + HRA
- Essential Qualification: 3-year diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, BCA, or M.Sc. Geoinformatics.
- Desirable: Preference given to male candidates with soft skills.
