Plea in SC seeks cancellation of NEET-UG 2024 exam

New Delhi, June 10: A PIL has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the NEET-UG 2024 examination.

The plea seeks directions for the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the “malpractices and fraud involved” in the NEET examination held on May 5 and a stay on counselling till the investigations on the paper leak are completed.

The PIL filed by two members of an organisation working for the assistance and benefit of the students said that the news of the NEET exam paper leak has shaken to the core as many of the meritorious students lost the opportunity to become future medical practitioners.

“The petitioners are filing the present petition with the sole purpose of providing justice to the aggrieved students who with the support of their respective family members had put in their entire time, hard-earned money and energy along with the hard work and dedication in preparing for NEET Exam 2024 and have been denied a level playing field,” it said.

The plea added that some students have secured 718 and 719 marks which are statically not possible and the entire exercise conduct of the exam is without any rationale and the same is arbitrary and done with mala fide intention to grant entry to the students through backdoor.

Further, it said that 67 students scored 720 out of 720 marks out of which eight students were from the same examination centre, raising serious doubts regarding the examination conducted by the NTA.

Recently, the apex court denied a stay on the declaration of the result of the NEET-UG examination but issued a notice to NTA and others in a similar matter.–(IANS)

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2024: Tentative Date Sheets Released for Classes 10 and 12

Candidates who have applied for CBSE 10th, 12th Supplementary exams can go to cbse.gov.in and check the date sheets.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released tentative date sheets or time tables for Class 10th and Class 12th Supplementary examinations, 2024. Candidates who have applied for CBSE 10th, 12th Supplementary exams can go to cbse.gov.in and check the date sheets.

As per the time table, the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary examination will be held on Monday, July 15. Depending on the length of the paper, the examination will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm or from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The CBSE Class 10 Supplementary examination will be held for six days – July 15, July 16, July 18, July 19, July 20 and July 22. Most of the papers are three hours long and are scheduled between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm while Computer Applications and Information Technology papers are two hours long and will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on the last day of the examination.

The central board said tentative date sheets have been published to help students select the subjects they want to appear for and the final date sheets will be published after the last date for submission of LOC.

The deadline for submitting LOC is June 15.

In an official notice, the CBSE said that the online registration facility is open only for private candidates.

Regular school students who want to appear in the supplementary or improvement exams must apply through their schools only.

The supply examination will be conducted according to the syllabus prescribed for the board examination, and it is available on the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in. The admit card release date will be informed separately.

JKBOSE Notification: Online Submission Schedule for Inter School Migration and Eligibility for 2024-25

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a notification regarding the schedule for online submission of Inter School Migration and Eligibility applications for the academic session 2024-25. This applies to government and private high and higher secondary institutions/schools affiliated with JKBOSE in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The key details are as follows:

Eligible Applications
– Inter School Migration: This includes migration within the same district, district to district, and division to division for Secondary School (Class 10th) students.
– Eligibility (Migration from other recognized Boards): This is applicable to Regular students of Class 10th, 11th, and 12th who wish to migrate from other recognized Boards to JKBOSE.

Important Dates and Fees
1. Submission of Migration Form by on-roll eligible students of Secondary School (Class 10th) for academic session 2024-25:
– Normal Fee: ₹410
– Dates:
– Without Late Fee: 11th June 2024 to 10th July 2024
– With Late Fee of ₹75: 11th July 2024 to 20th July 2024
– With Late Fee of ₹85: 21st July 2024 to 30th July 2024
– With Late Fee of ₹100: 31st July 2024 to 10th August 2024
– Last Date to Deposit Fee: 12th August 2024
