JKSSB Releases Provisional Answer Key for Assistant Scientific Officer Exam

Srinagar, 7 January 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the provisional answer key for the written examination conducted for recruitment to the post of Assistant Scientific Officer (Chemistry and Toxicology) in the Home Department. The exam was held on 6th January 2024.

The provisional answer keys for all the four series – A, B, C and D have been uploaded on the official website of JKSSB – www.jkssb.nic.in. Candidates can match their responses with the answer keys to get an idea of their probable score.

The board has also invited objections against the provisional answer key. Candidates can submit representations along with supporting documents and a fee of Rs. 200 per question. The objections can be submitted offline at the JKSSB offices in Jammu and Srinagar from 8th to 10th January 2024. Objections submitted after the due date or in any other mode will not be accepted.

Based on the representations received, JKSSB will release the final answer key. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance or rejection of their objection. If the objection is found to be correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly for all candidates.

The recruitment drive by JKSSB aims to fill various positions advertised vide Notification No. 02 of 2022, including Assistant Scientific Officer. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam and subsequent selection process.

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 05-01-2024, 1700 hrs. to 06-01-2024, 1700 hrs., there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to the breakdown of 02 HMVs and poor surface condition of road at Dalwas and single lane traffic at Cafeteria-Mehad, Magerkote, Nachlana, and Hingani between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer the journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during the daytime. Please avoid the journey during night hours as there is an apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.

3. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during the journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double-check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking the journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

4. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 07-01-2024:

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars/HMVs/Load Carriers shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline.

SFs Convoy Movement:

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.

SSG ROAD:

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road shall be allowed from both sides viz Srinagar towards Kargil and vice-versa. LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar between 0830 hrs. to 1100 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil between 1230 hrs to 1530 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timings.

SFs Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil, shall leave Srinagar at 0800 hrs. SFs Convoy plying from Drass to Srinagar shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic doesn’t get disturbed.

Mughal Road:

Tomorrow subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement on Mughal road shall be allowed from both sides viz. Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Behramgalla (Buffliaz) and Herpora (Shopian) between 1000 hrs to 1500 hrs. after a green signal from road agencies.

People are advised to undertake the journey on NH-44 only after confirming the status of the road from Traffic control units as under:

Srinagar, January 6 KSA): The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Awantipora, Kashmir has invited applications for the National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies for the academic year 2023-24.

The scholarship is awarded by the University Grants Commission, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is available for students pursuing their first postgraduate degree program.

The key eligibility criteria are:

  • The scholarship is only for students admitted to the first year of a postgraduate program. Those who already have a postgraduate degree are not eligible.
  • Students can apply online at the National Scholarship Portal https://scholarships.gov.in between January 5 and January 15, 2024.

Placement of 438 Masters in Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department

Srinagar 6 Jan (KSA): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s School Education Department has recently issued Government Order No. 09-JK(Edu) of 2024 on January 5, 2024. This order pertains to the placement of 438 Masters as In-charge Headmasters and their equivalents within the School Education Department. The placement is effective immediately and is valid for a period of six months or until the posts are filled on an officiating/regular basis by JKPSC/DPC, whichever occurs earlier.

The decision for placement has been made in the interest of administration and considering administrative and academic exigencies. However, the placement comes with specific conditions outlined in the order.

Key Conditions of Placement:

1. No Preferential Claim: The placement does not confer any preferential claim or right to the officials for seeking regularization or confirmation. These processes will be considered strictly as per established procedures and subject to clearance by JKPSC/DPC.

2. Legal Implications: The placement is subject to the outcome of any writ petition(s) pending before the Court(s) of law. This implies that the decision may be affected by the results of any ongoing legal proceedings.

3. Joining Obligation: Officers are required to join their new place of posting within seven days. Failure to do so within the stipulated time will be interpreted as a forfeiture of the Placement/Promotion. In such cases, the placement will be canceled ab-initio, and actions as per established rules will follow.

4. Academic Credentials Verification: CEOs (Chief Executive Officers) are entrusted with the responsibility to verify the genuineness of the requisite academic credentials. Undertaking for Authenticity: Officers must submit an undertaking to the concerned CEO, acknowledging that if their service particulars or academic credentials are found to be fake, forged, tampered, issued by an unrecognized university, or the course is proven unrecognized at any stage, they will have no claim on the placement. In such cases, the placement will be canceled ab-initio without any further notice.

Moreover, the order specifies that these officers, in addition to administrative powers, will also exercise Drawing and Disbursing Powers.
