The Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023 held by the Union Public Service Commission from September 15, 2023 to September 24, 2023.

“On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023 held by the Union Public Service Commission from 15th September 2023 to 24th September 2023, the candidates with the Roll Numbers and Name, as given below, have qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’)”, reads the official notification.

Qualified candidates’ personality tests (interviews) will take place at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069; the dates will be announced in due course. The candidates’ eSummon Letters of Personality Tests (Interviews) will be accessible for download from the Commission’s website.

DSEJ announces winter vacation in phased manner from Dec 11

‘Ensure online classes for Class 10 and 12th through CRC’s’

Srinagar, Dec 08 (KNO): Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) Friday announced winter vacations in winter zones in a phased manner from December-11 to February-29.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), DSEJ in an order said that all government schools and recognised private schools upto Higher Secondary Level of winter zone of Jammu Division shall observe winter vacations.

DSEJ said that the classes upto 8th standard shall observe the vacations from December-11-2023 to February-29-2024 and the classes from 9th to 12th standard shall observe the vacations from December-18 to February-29 respectively.

The directorate further ordered that the Chief Education Officers shall ensure online classes for Class 10 and 12th through CRC’s.

It also ordered that the teaching staff shall report back to their respective schools on February-21 so that they remain available for making arrangements regarding preparation of ensuing examinations.

“All teachers shall remain available on demand for any online guidance of students during vacation period,” it reads.

DSEJ said that if any default on part of the Head of the Schools or Teaching staff in observance of the instruction schedule shall attract strict action under rules—(KNO)‏

Registration on Portal Mandatory: MBBS Admissions Invalid Without it

Admission Of MBBS Students Not Registered On Portal Will Be Invalid

New Delhi: The National Medical Commission has released a notification stating that the MBBS students who have not registered on the NMC portal will not be considered for future admissions as the admissions of these students will be considered invalid. The commission informed that only those MBBS students who have registered in the NMC portal will be considered for valid admissions. 

The notice further added that all the stakeholders were informed about the last date of admission for the MBBS course and the colleges and Directorate of Medical Education (DME) based on the Supreme court order. The DME were also directed to upload the details of students admitted to the MBBS course in the NMC portal.

The official notification on the website of the NMC read,  “In compliance to the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Diary No. 45004 of 2023 filed by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for extension of last date for admission of under graduate course in W.P. © No. 76 of 2015, all the stakeholders were informed about the extension of the last date of admission of Under Graduate Course and to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for vacant MBBS seats of AIQ and State Quota and the colleges/DMEs were directed to ensure that the admission of MBBS students have been made according to the NMC regulation and upload their names in the NMC portal.

“It is hereby informed that students registered in NMC portal only shall be considered as valid admissions to be eligible for future registration to practice allopathy in India if they fulfill all criteria as required from time to time.”

Provisional Selection List of candidates for the posts of Senior Horticulture Technician, (Level 6E; Division Cadre, Jammu, Item No. 25; Division Cadre, Kashmir, Item No. 63), of Horticulture Department, advertised vide Notification No. 01 of 2021 dated 03.02.2021.

The Department of Horticulture, vide Indent No.Horti/56/2017 dated 15.10.2020 and No. Horti/56/2017-Part file dated 18.02.2021, among other posts, forwarded the requisition for 28 posts of Senior Horticulture Technician for making direct recruitment, with the following category-wise break-up.

Srinagar, Dec 8 (KS): A scooty-driver was killed after being allegedly hit by a CRPF vehicle in Ganderbal district, officials said.

They told news agency Kashmir Scroll that one Ghulam Hassan Magray from Durpora Manigam Ganderbal was allegedly hit by a CRPF vehicle, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the death of individual, Medical Officer District Hospital Ganderbal told Kashmir Scroll that the person was dead upon being brought to the hospital.(KS)

Div Com reviews installation of 4G BSNL sevice system in remote villages

Srinagar, Dec 08 (KS) : The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri today reviewed the process of installation of 4G BSNL  infrastructure across the valley especially in uncovered villages and the villages along border fencing line to saturate the delivery of advanced communication services to the  people.

The meeting was attended by all Deputy Commissioners and officers of the BSNL.

Addressing the officers, Div Com directed DCs to supervise & expedite the process of saturation of 4G services in the identified villages where the advanced service is not available to the people.

He directed to ensure  rapid mobilization of machinery and equipments by the client awarded the work.

Div Com also emphasized for identification of villages ahead of fencing line where the  work has to be done on priority basis.(KS)
