Union Public Service Commission has declared UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2025 on June 11, 2025. Candidates who have appeared for Civil Services preliminary examination can check their roll numbers through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

The preliminary examination was held on May 25, 2025. Those candidates who have passed the prelims exam are eligible to appear for the main exam.

3. A new PDF file will open where candidates will have to check the roll numbers.

4. Download the page and keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

The candidature of these candidates is provisional. Candidates will have to update the following details:

(a) Submission of fee of Rs.200 for admission into the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2025 except in the case of fee exempt candidates viz. the female/PwBD/SC/ST candidates.

(b) Submission/Updation of Scribe details, Assistive Device and Question Paper in large font (for Mains Examination).

(c) Submission of Gazette Notification ( in case a candidate has changed name after matriculation and/or there is a mismatch with the name given in his/her matriculation or higher educational certificate vis a vis name given by him/her in the CSE-2025 online application).

The window for filling these details will be available from June 16 to June 25, 2025.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has completed the CUET UG 2025 exam, opening admission opportunities in 205 universities. The answer key will be released in June for candidates to review their responses.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has completed the CUET UG 2025 exam, opening admission opportunities in 205 universities. The answer key will be released in June for candidates to review their responses.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) concluded the CUET UG 2025 exam on June 3, after a month-long computer-based testing across 300 cities, including abroad. With two daily shifts from May 13 onwards, the exam serves as the gateway for admissions to undergraduate programmes in central, state, deemed, private and other participating universities.

IMPORTANT DATES

Third week of June: NTA to release the provisional answer key and students’ response sheets on cuet.nta.nic.in. A window will follow to raise objections.

July (expected): The final answer key will be out, and CUET UG 2025 results will be declared. Scorecards will be made available online for university admissions.

CUET UG 2025 PARTICIPATING UNIVERSITIES

CUET scores will be accepted by 205 universities, across categories:

A total of 47 Central Universities were accepted with none removed. Amongst state universities, 27 were accepted while 15 were removed. For Deemed Universities, 22 were accepted and 13 were removed. In the case of private universities, 102 received acceptance whereas 75 were removed. Additionally, 7 government institutions were accepted and 3 were removed.

  1. Central Universities include: Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, JNU, Jamia Millia Islamia, University of Delhi, University of Hyderabad, Nagaland University, and 40 others.
  2. State and other universities: 27 state universities (e.g., Delhi Technological University, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya) and 22 deemed universities.

WHAT DO THIS MEANS FOR CANDIDATES?

Access to the provisional answer key in June allows early review.

The final results and scorecards in July will drive counselling and admission across CUET-participating institutions.

Major JKAS Reshuffle: J&K Government Transfers 136 Officers Across Key Departments

Srinagar, June 10, KNT: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has ordered a comprehensive transfer and posting of 136 JKAS officers across various departments.

Bashir Ahmad Dar, who was serving as Managing Director of JKPCC, has now been appointed Secretary of the J&K Public Service Commission. Rajinder Singh Tara, previously Director General of Youth Services and Sports, has taken over as Controller of Legal Metrology, with Anuradha Gupta moving in the opposite direction to head Youth Services and Sports once again.

Among other prominent changes, Smita Sethi has been appointed Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, while Nitu Gupta shifts from the Finance Department to take charge as Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department. Mathora Masoom will now lead the J&K Financial Corporation, replacing Shafat Sultan, who will await further adjustment.

The reshuffle also brings Abdul Hafiz Shah into the Information Technology Department as Special Secretary, and Musheer Ahmed takes over as Mission Director, ICDS. Nawab Din has been made Custodian General of J&K, while Mohammad Mumtaz Ali moves to lead the Tribal Affairs Department.

In the industrial sector, Rishpal Singh as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust has moved from Custodian General to the Industries and Commerce Department as Special Secretary, and Pardeep Singh has been appointed Managing Director of SIDCO, also holding additional charge of SICOP. Ghalib Mohi-ud-din Shah will now serve full-time as Director of SKICC, retaining his earlier responsibility as Secretary of Royal Springs Golf Course.

Fayaz Ahmad Banday has been given charge of Command Area Development, Kashmir, and Prerna Raina will now serve as Special Secretary in the Power Development Department. In rural development, Shahnaz Akhter takes over in Jammu, while Rimpy Ohri has been posted to New Delhi as Director of Public Relations.

A series of appointments have also been made in the taxation, education, and planning departments, including new assignments for Pankaj Gupta, Kanchan Bala, Subah Mehta, and Ghulam Mohammad Bhat. Meanwhile, Joint Commissioners Rakesh Kumar and Krishan Lal have been reassigned to more pivotal roles within the revenue and social welfare departments.

Fresh postings have also been granted to officers awaiting adjustment, including Sudershan Kumar (ICDS Reasi), Sunil Kumar (JPDCL), and Deepika Rana, who has been made Member of the J&K Services Selection Board. Riyaz Ahmad Shah has been appointed Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes (Srinagar), while Zahoor Ahmad Raina and Ashwani Kumar have taken charge of ICDS Projects in Anantnag and Doda, respectively.

In the tourism sector, Devinder Singh Bhau, Kulbushan Khajuria, Mohammad Rouf Rehman, Virender Kumar Manyal, and Joginder Singh Jasrotia have been appointed as Chief Executive Officers of various Tourism Development Authorities across Patnitop, Rajouri, Kokernag, Bhaderwah, and other regions.

Additional appointments include Waseem Raja as Joint Director of Tourism, Kashmir; Chand Kishore Sharma as Joint Director of Entrepreneurship Development Institute; and Ghulam Nabi Bhat, who now serves in the Revenue Department.

Rajesh Lakhan has been appointed as Programme Officer, ICDS Project, Samba, while Syed Ahmad Kataria has been posted as Additional Secretary to the Government in the School Education Department. Rajeev Kumar Khajuria will now serve as Joint Commissioner in Jammu Municipal Corporation, and Waseem Raja has been posted as Joint Director, Employment, Kashmir.

Anirudh Rai, who was serving as Deputy District Election Officer in Udhampur, will now take over as Joint Registrar, Induscos, Handicrafts Department, Jammu. Meanwhile, Afaq Ahmed has been moved from Power Development Department to serve as Additional Secretary in the Higher Education Department.

Alyaz Ahmad Naisroo has been appointed Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes (Appeals-II), Srinagar, and Babu Ram Tandon will now head the Tourism Development Authority in Bani-Basholi as Chief Executive Officer. Kulraj Singh has been shifted from Handloom, Jammu to State Taxes (Appeals-II), Jammu, while Swaran Singh has been inducted as Member of the J&K Services Selection Board.

Kusum Chib will now serve as Joint Director at the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration, and Rural Development. Fareed Ahmad Kohli, who previously held multiple charges in Rajouri, has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment. Nuzhat Khurshid takes over as Joint Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

In another key movement, Giasul Haq will serve as Additional Secretary in the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Department. Rizwan Asgar is now Joint Director, Industries and Commerce (Development), Jammu, while Raeis Ahmad Bhat takes over as Joint Director, Industries and Commerce (M&P), Kashmir, thereby relieving Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Magray of the additional charge.

Vikas Anand has been appointed as Joint Transport Commissioner, and Gurdev Kumar has been posted as Joint Director, School Education, Jammu. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat is now Additional Secretary in the Health and Medical Education Department, and Sartaj Hussain will serve as Joint Director (Administration) in Rural Development Directorate, Kashmir, while retaining his previous role in the Estates Department.

Shurjeel Ali Naiku as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust has been placed as General Manager, DIC, Shopian, and Harpal Singh is the new Programme Officer, ICDS Project, Rajouri. Sanchi Misra is now Joint Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Jammu, and Mantasha Binti Rashid takes charge as General Manager, DIC, Ganderbal, with additional responsibilities of Registrar, District Ganderbal.

Umesh Sharma is the new Deputy Secretary in the School Education Department, while Sunaina Saini takes charge as Deputy Director at the District Employment and Counselling Centre, Jammu. Masood Ahmad Wani has been transferred to the General Administration Department as Deputy Secretary. Aijaz Ahmad Shah and Mehmood Riaz have been appointed Deputy Secretary, Civil Aviation Department and Sub-Registrar, R.S. Pura respectively.

Syed Farooq Ahmad has moved to the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Kashmir, as Assistant Commissioner (Central), and Din Mohammad has taken charge as Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD), Doda. Rafiq Ahmad is now Deputy Director, District Employment and Counselling Centre, Doda, while Bashir Ahmad Padder has been posted as ACD in Bandipora.

Qadeer-ul-Rehman takes over as Deputy District Election Officer in Rajouri, and Seema Parihar is appointed Sub-Registrar in Jammu South. Sheraz Ahmed has been entrusted with additional charge as Sub-Registrar, Rajouri. Bilal Ahmad is now ACD Kulgam, and Abdul Majid has been posted as Deputy Director, Employment and Counselling Centre, Poonch.

Shakeel Ahmed becomes ACD in Poonch, and Manoj Kumar moves to the Information Department as Deputy Secretary. Manzoor Ahmad Mir will now serve as Deputy Registrar, J&K Special Tribunal. Akshay Rajan has been appointed Sub-Registrar, Vijaypur, while Aamir Choudhary is now the Custodian of Evacuee Property, Jammu.

Syed Mushtaq Razvi will serve as Deputy Director, Tribal Affairs, Kashmir. Mohammad Muneer Ahmed Bhat has been posted as Deputy Director, Quality Control, in the Handicrafts Department. Anju Anand has been placed in the Housing and Urban Development Department as Deputy Secretary.

Finally, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, earlier the Deputy District Election Officer in Pulwama, has been posted as Assistant Commissioner, State Taxes (Enforcement – Central), Kashmir.

Mohammad Altaf Bhat, previously awaiting adjustment, has been appointed as Collector for Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) in Srinagar. Similarly, Shakeel Ahmad Sheshtar has been shifted from the position of Deputy District Election Officer Budgam to serve as Collector for Land Acquisition, Special Army (Budgam and Srinagar), while Hilal Ahmad Mir will now shoulder additional responsibility as Deputy District Election Officer, Budgam.

Rameshwar Kumar, who earlier held the post of Deputy District Election Officer, Jammu, has been reassigned as Deputy Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department. In Anantnag, Nisar Ahmad Wani has been appointed Deputy District Election Officer, while Mushtaq Ahmad Maqdoomi has been posted as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat in Shopian.

The reshuffle also impacted departments like Labour and Employment, with Yasmeen Jan moving from Associated Hospitals in Srinagar to her new role as Deputy Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department. In a similar administrative change, Chander Kant Bhagat has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.

At the state transport and industrial levels, Ajay Salaan has been named General Manager of the J&K Road Transport Corporation in Jammu. Amit Singh Manhas has been moved to the Labour and Employment Department as Under Secretary, while Mr. Sameer Ahmad Dar’s services have been placed at the disposal of the Industries and Commerce Department.

Significant movements were also seen in departments related to social welfare and youth affairs. Mohammad Ayub Dar, formerly with Youth Services and Sports, has joined the J&K Services Selection Board as Deputy Secretary. Meanwhile, Surbhi Raina has been posted in the State Election Commission, and Syed Farhana Asgar will now serve as Sub-Registrar Srinagar (West), relieving the additional charge from her predecessor.

In tourism and allied sectors, Sheikh Enayattullah has been assigned as Deputy Director, Tourism Kashmir, replacing his earlier role in the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in Doda. Likewise, Bashir Ahmad Bhat will now function as Personnel Officer in Associated Hospitals, Srinagar, after his tenure with Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Ltd.

The employment sector too saw a number of transfers, with Harvinder Singh, Nusrat Shaheen, and Mohinder Kumar Sharma posted as Deputy Directors in District Employment and Counselling Centres of Kathua, Budgam, and Udhampur respectively.

In junior-level JKAS reshuffles, several Under Secretaries and Block Development Officers have been reassigned or had their services placed at the disposal of new departments. These include Anil Kumar to the Industries and Commerce Department, Inzar Ahmed Rana to Tribal Affairs, and Anu Sharma to the Chief Minister’s Public Services and Outreach Office, Raabita.

Further, Rubia Afroz Inqalabi has been moved to Youth Services and Sports, and Nasir Ahmed, initially slated for Kupwara, has had his services transferred to the Transport Department. IGNOU Admissions 2025 Open for Online and Distance Learning Programmes – Apply Now

IGNOU ODL, Online Admissions 2025: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the online registration process for admissions to its Online and Distance Learning (ODL) courses for the July 2025 session. Those interested and eligible can apply by visiting the official portal – ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The deadline to submit applications is July 15.

Students seeking admission to online courses are required to register at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in. The registration is at present ongoing for both modes – online and distance learning. Students can also apply for scholarships offered through the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.

IGNOU Admission 2025: DEB ID mandatory for all applicants

According to the university’s notification, to create a Distance of Education Bureau (DEB) ID is must before the IGNOU application form submission.

To ensure that students enrolling in online or distance education programmes are officially recognised by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the University Grants Commission (UGC) mandates registration through a unique Distance Education Bureau (DEB) ID.

According to the official announcement, applicants must obtain a DEB ID before initiating the admission process. “The DEB ID is a required component of the application. Make sure to generate your Distance Education Bureau (DEB) ID prior to starting your application,” the notification reads.

IGNOU Admission 2025: Steps To Create DEB ID 

  • Create an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID.
  • Once the ABC ID is successfully generated, register the DEB ID.
  • Provide the required details, including your mobile number and email address, as per the given instructions.
  • Submit the form to receive your DEB ID.

Steps for Form Submission

  1. Download Form: Visit the official website and download the examination form.
  2. Verification: Get the form duly verified by the Registration Section of the University of Kashmir before fee submission.
  3. Online Payment: Pay the examination fee online via debit/credit/Rupay card or UPI (no extra charges).
  4. Submit Hard Copy: Submit the verified form along with the fee receipt to the Examination Wing, University of Kashmir.

  • Fee Amount: ₹2600/- per candidate
  • Note: The fee is applicable regardless of the number of courses, years, or subjects.

JKBOSE Class 9th Registration Returns 2024-25: Last Date Extended Till 19th June

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important extension notice regarding the online submission of Registration Returns for Class 9th students for the Academic Session 2024-25.

As per the latest notification (F(Acad-C)/RR.IX/24-25/E-7585606/25 dated 03-06-2025), the last date for submission has been extended by 15 days. This extension applies to students currently enrolled in Class 9th and studying in Class 10th in JKBOSE-affiliated schools across the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh.

Revised Submission Timeline:

  • New Dates: 5th June 2025 to 19th June 2025
  • Late Fee: Rs. 1000/- (in addition to the normal fee of Rs. 740/-)
  • Total Fee: Rs. 1740/- per candidate
