The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released several important notifications for students. Below are the key updates:

1. Correction in Registered Particulars for 10th Class Exam (Annual Regular 2025)

JKBOSE has issued a notification allowing candidates appearing in the 10th Class Annual Regular 2025 exam to correct their registered details as per the records (RR). Students are advised to review their particulars and make necessary corrections.

2. Re-evaluation Notification for Class 11th (Annual Regular 2024)

The Board has opened re-evaluation for Class 11th students who appeared in the Annual Regular 2024 exam. Students seeking re-evaluation can refer to notification no. 90 HSP-I, dated 21st September 2024.

3. Result Notification for Class 12th (Soft Zone)

JKBOSE declared the result for Class 12th Annual Regular 2024 (Soft Zone) under notification no. 13/HSP-II, dated 9th September 2024. Students can check their results on the official website.

IGNOU July 2024 fresh admission registration deadline extended

IGNOU July 2024 Admission: The list of programmes provided online is available at the official website – iop.ignouonline.ac.in. Students can check the programmes and apply accordingly

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date to apply for fresh admission against the July 2024 academic year. Students intending to apply in the July 2024 session in the online distance learning (ODL) and online programmes will now get another fortnight to register. The last date now is October 15. Earlier, the last date to register for the ODL and online programmes was September 30.

The open university has extended the application deadline for all online distance learning and online mode programmes except for the semester based and certificate programmes run by IGNOU. The list of programmes provided online is available at the official website – iop.ignouonline.ac.in. Students can check the programmes and apply accordingly.

A social media post of IGNOU said: “Extension of last date for July, 2024 Fresh Admission till 15th October, 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for July, 2024 session (except for Semester based & Certificate programmes).”

Step 1: Go to the official website of IGNOU – ignou.ac.in
Step 2: Click on ‘Register Online’ tab followed by ‘Fresh Admissions’
Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registrations’ tab
Step 4: Fill in all the required registration details
Step 5: Set a ‘Username’ and ‘Password’
Step 6: Fill all the required information and submit
Step 7: With the login details received on the email ID and phone number, login using the same and fill in all the details required
Step 8: Select the programme to be studied
Step 9: Submit the IGNOU registration form

Eligible students can also apply for government scholarships on the national scholarship portal at – scholarships.gov.in after confirmation of admission

RRB Technician Recruitment 2024: Registration Reopens Tomorrow on rrbapply.gov.in – Important Details to Note

RRB Technician Recruitment: Candidates who did not apply during the previous window will get another chance to submit their forms up to October 16.

RRB Technician Recruitment: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will reopen the application window for Technician recruitment 2024 tomorrow, October 2. Candidates who did not apply during the previous window will get another chance to submit their forms up to October 16 at rrbapply.gov.in.

The decision to reopen the application window was taken due to an increase in the number of vacancies. The RRBs said that existing candidates will also have the option to make a few edits in their forms.

Here are some important points to remember before applying.

  1. Candidates who had applied during the previous window and paid the application fees are treated as existing candidates. They will not be required to pay any extra fee during this window.
  2. Existing candidates will be able to apply for newly added categories and for already notified categories they did not opt for previously. They will be also allowed to modify the previously selected categories.
  3. Existing candidates will only have the option to edit their educational qualifications, re-upload photographs and signatures and change RRB and post preferences.
  4. Candidates who did not submit their applications previously, those who applied but did not pay the fee and those who applied for category 1 (Technician grade 1) and did not apply for technician grade 3 will be treated as fresh candidates.
  5. During the re-opened application window, new candidates can apply for Technician posts under all categories – 2 to 40.

The application form correction window will open on October 17 and close on 21. Candidates will be required to pay 250 per modification. New candidates can edit their forms as per the conditions laid down on the notification. Existing candidates will have the option to edit the following details– educational qualification, zone and post preferences, photo and signature.

Selection procedure and CTC

The candidates need to go through shortlisting phase followed by an interview. The shortlisting committee appointed by the bank will decide the criteria for shortlisting and the selected candidates will be called for interviews. The interview will be of 100 marks and the qualifying marks will be set by the bank. During the interview, the negotiation committee will discuss the CTC.

Important points to keep in mind

The applicants must possess the qualification and relevant full-time experience as on specified dates. The relevant experience certificate from employer must contain specifically that the candidate has experience in that related field as required. Training & Teaching experience will not be counted for eligibility in the experience criteria. Relaxation in upper age limit will be available to reserved category candidates as per Govt. of India guidelines (wherever applicable).

Monsoon Season Ends, Jammu and Kashmir Receives 26% Deficit Rainfall

This 26% is a huge figure.

Between June 01 & September 30, Jammu and Kashmir received just 408.5 mm of rainfall against the normal 549.1 mm.

Srinagar recorded a rainfall deficit of 30%.

Except Pulwama district which recorded a rainfall deficit of 13%, the other districts in south Kashmir received below normal rainfall in the range of -50 to -80%. Similar was the case in other districts of Kashmir Valley.

Baramulla was the only district in Kashmir to receive normal rainfall in the positive category (1% above normal)

Samba received above normal rainfall of 13% and was the best performing district. Jammu received exact normal rainfall as it should have.

Rest all districts in Jammu region received below normal rainfall in the range of -15 to -76%.

Meanwhile, Ladakh received surplus rainfall of 17%. Kargil with 8% surplus and Leh with 18%.
