The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9 am to 12 pm and the second from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD UPSC MAINS ADMIT CARD 2024

1. Visit the official Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) website at upsc.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, locate and click on the “Admit Card” section.
3. In the Admit Card section, find the link for the “Civil Services Mains Exam 2024” and click on the “Download” button next to it.
4. A login page will appear. Enter your registration number or roll number along with your date of birth in the provided fields.
5. Input the captcha code displayed on the screen.
6. Click on the “Submit” button. Your UPSC Mains Admit Card 2024 will appear on the screen.
7. Download and print the admit card for future use.

PAPER PATTERN FOR UPSC MAINS 2024

The UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2024 will consist of a total of nine descriptive papers. The first two papers, Paper A and Paper B, are qualifying in nature, each carrying 300 marks. The remaining papers, which contribute to the final merit list, will each be conducted for 250 marks.

IGNOU opens registration for December TEE 2024: Apply by October 15

Eligible candidates can register for the IGNOU TEE December 2024 examination form for online and open distance learning programmes on the official website, exam.ignou.ac.in.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun accepting applications for the Term-End Examination (TEE) 2024 for the December session. Eligible students enrolled in online and open distance learning (ODL) programmes can now fill out the examination form on the official website, exam.ignou.ac.in.

The TEE December 2024 exams are scheduled to begin on December 2, with the last date to apply without a late fee being October 15, 2024.

According to IGNOU’s official website, “The December 2024 Term-end Examinations for ODL & Online Programmes (Pen & Paper & CBT Mode) are likely to commence from 02nd December 2024 onwards.”

The exam form submission link, along with project and practical exam submission guidelines, is currently open. Students in the first year or those re-registered for the second or third year of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, PG diploma, certificate, PG certificate, and semester-based courses must submit their exam forms by the deadline. If the results for June TEE 2024 are not available before the form submission deadline, students must still submit their December TEE forms.

  • Go to exam.ignou.ac.in
  • Look for the “IGNOU December TEE 2024 Registration” link
  • Create a registration ID and follow the steps
  • Log in and complete the registration form with the required details
  • Upload necessary documents and pay the application fee
  • Submit the form and print the confirmation page for reference.

Students applying between September 9 and October 15 need to pay a fee of Rs 200 per course. For applications submitted after October 15 (up to October 31), an additional late fee of Rs 100 will be charged. Practical and project fees are Rs 300 per course for up to 4 credits and Rs 500 per course for over 4 credits.

Srinagar, Sep 10: The J&K Haj Committee has extended the last date for submission of online Haj Application Forms (HAFs) for Haj – 2025 up to 23rd September, 2024.

As per an official communication, the J&K Haj Committee has informed that applicants possessing machine readable valid Indian International Passports issued on or before 23rd September, 2024 and valid at least up to 15th January, 2026 are eligible to apply for Haj – 2025.

Meanwhile, applications can be submitted online only at the website of Haj Committee of India www.hajcommittee.gov.in or Android Mobile App ‘HAJ SUVIDHA’ available at Google Play-store. Before filing the Haj Application Forms Online, the pilgrims are requested to go through the Haj Policy 2025/ Haj 2025 guidelines available at Haj Committee website www.hajcommittee.gov.in.

According to news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB), the court has granted him bail up to October 2, 2024. It allows Engineer to contest in the forthcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.

Engineer is an influential political figure accused of terror financing; however, he has pleaded not guilty, claiming the charges are politically motivated.

The decision to grant bail by the court symbolically defines how his role became critical in the regional political scenario as elections are a critical moment for Jammu and Kashmir post Article-370.— (KB)

Selection Process

The selection process comprises phases I, II, and III. Phase I is the preliminary examination, Phase II is the main examination, and Phase III is the interview round.

The final selection will be based on the consolidated marks of the main examination (objective test) and interview. The final merit list will be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates.

Srinagar, 09 Sep: Cluster University Srinagar announced the results for the UG 1st Semester for Batch 2023 and 2022 backlog students under the NEP-2020 framework. However, students reported that their results were showing ‘zero’ in certain subjects due to an error on the university’s website.

In response, the university administration has urged students not to panic, assuring them that the discrepancies will be corrected. In an order copy the university stated “The marks for subjects showing zero or labeled as ‘Lo’ will be updated within the next 10 days, students don’t need to visit the university. Further they are advised to keep checking the official website for further updates.”

The UG first semester exams under NEP-2020 were conducted in March, and students have been waiting for the results for six months; they now await the necessary updates to their marks.
