TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR

1. From 05-02-2024, 1700 hrs. to 06-02-2024, 1700 hrs. Jammu Srinagar NHW remained blocked for 09 hrs. due to road widening work between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel. Slow movement observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of 02 HMVs and poor surface condition of road at Dalwas, Mehar . Hingani, Sherbibi and single lane traffic at Kishtwari Pather and Hingani between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time. Please avoid journey during night hours as apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.

3. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

4. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 07-02-2024:-

Subject to fair weather and clearance of road, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars/HMVs/Load Carriers shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice- versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Srinagar and from Qazigund towards Jammu after 0800 hrs. after getting green signal from NHAI. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline.

SFs Convoy Movement:-

Subject to fair weather and clearance of road, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Please contact TCU Ramban before undertake journey.

Tentative Selection List of Helpers/AAYAs under ECCE in Jammu and Kashmir

The Directorate of Samagra Shiksha in Jammu and Kashmir recently released the tentative selection list for Helpers/AAYAs (Anganwadi Workers/Helpers) under the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program in approved schools for the academic year 2023-24. This notification outlines the process, criteria, and key considerations involved in the selection of candidates for these crucial roles in the education system.

1. Initiation of the Selection Process:
The process began with a communication from the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha, Jammu & Kashmir, and subsequent orders from the Chief Education Officer, Anantnag, in adherence to government directives dated 09/01/2023.

2. Advertisement Notification and Application Process:
The office issued a notification inviting eligible candidates to apply for the Helper/AAYA positions. The advertisement was widely publicized, being displayed in the office notice board, school notice boards, Panchayat Ghars, and leading newspapers in the Kashmir Division.

3. Selection Criteria:

In case of a tie, elder candidates were preferred.

4. Response and Application Processing:
The office received a substantial response, with 276 applications within the stipulated time. School Level Screening Committees, headed by the respective school’s Head of Institution, were formed to verify documents such as domicile, BPL/AAY Ration Card, certificates, and date of birth.

5. Zonal Level Verification:
A Zonal Level Committee was constituted to cross-check the panels drawn up by the School Level Screening Committees. Their mandate included re-verifying the documents and testimonials submitted by eligible candidates.

6. Clarifications and Village Level Merit:
The office sought clarifications from the Chief Education Officer regarding specific schools. One candidate’s representation led to directions for framing village-level merit in certain cases.

7. Tentative Selection List:
The Tentative Selection List was prepared based on the panels drawn up by the School Level Screening Committees and cross-checked by the Zonal Level Committee. The list is subject to the principle of Merit-Cum-Preference.

8. Representation and Document Verification:
Candidates aggrieved by the tentative selection list have the opportunity to represent within seven days from the date of issuance. However, inclusion in the list does not guarantee final selection, as it is subject to document verification and legal outcomes.
