Transfers and postings of Executive Engineers (Civil/Mechanical) in Jal Shakti Department

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer and posting of several Executive Engineers (Civil/Mechanical) in the Jal Shakti Department. The order is effective immediately.

The transfers and postings are as follows:

• Mehraj-u-Din Rather has been transferred from Irrigation Division Doda to Irrigation Division Kulgam. He will also hold the additional charge of the post of Executive Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control Division Doda, until further orders.
• Mushtaq Ahmad Qazi has been transferred from Irrigation Division Kulgam to the office of Chief Engineer, I&FC, Kashmir. He will draw the salary against the vacant post of Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle Pulwama H.Q Shopian.
• Jugal Kishore Nagotra has been transferred from Irrigation & Flood Control Division Bhaderwah to Mission Directorate, JJM.
• Girdhari Lal has been transferred from Mission Directorate, JJM to PHE Division Kathua.
• Ajay Gupta has been transferred from PHE Division Kathua to Mission Directorate, JJM. He will draw the salary against the vacant post of Technical Advisor, JJM.
• Sudesh Kumar has been transferred from Mission Directorate, JUM.
• Subash Chander has been transferred from PHE Division Doda to Mission Directorate, JUM. He will draw the salary against the vacant post of Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle, Jammu.
• Samiullah Naik and Nisar Ahmad Malik have been placed awaiting orders of posting.
• Mukhtar Ahmad Dar has been transferred from Flood Control Division Kakapora to the office of Chief Engineer, PHE, Kashmir. He will draw the salary against the vacant post of Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle, Anantnag.
• Altaf Hussain Gilani has been transferred from awaiting orders of posting to Irrigation Division Anantnag.
• Fayaz Ahmad Dar has been transferred from Irrigation Division Anantnag to the office of Chief Engineer, PHE Kashmir. He will draw the salary against the vacant post of Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle.
• Zakir Hussain has been transferred from JKPDC to City Drainage Circle, SMC.
• Reyaz Ahmad Khan has been transferred from awaiting orders of posting to Flood Mechanical Division Baramulla. He will assume the charge of the post on March 1, 2024, after the retirement of the present incumbent.

Weather office issues advisory in view of forecast from Feb 29 to Mar 03

Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNO): The weather office Srinagar on Tuesday issued advisory in view of the forecast for heavy snowfall in parts of Jammu and Kashmir from February 29 to March 03.

According to the advisory, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an active Western disturbance most likely to affect J&K and adjoining areas from 29th evening/night onwards.

The advisory reads that under the influence of this system, widespread moderate rain/snow is expected in Jammu and Kashmir from 29th night/early morning of 01 March till the afternoon of 3rd March with its peak activity on 2nd March.

“The above system most likely to cause heavy to very heavy rain/snow over Pirpanjal Range of Jammu division and middle & higher reaches of Kashmir Division (Anantnag-Pahalgam, Kulgam, Sinthan Pass, Shupiyan-Pir Ki Gali, Sonamarg-Zojila, Bandipora-Razdan Pass, Gulmarg and Kupwara-Sachna Pass),” it said.

It added that the weather activity may lead to disruption of surface and air transport including Jammu-Srinagar national highway and other major roads of middle & higher reaches of J&K.

The weather office asked the people in snow bound areas to avoid venturing into sloppy and Avalanche prone areas.

“Chances of landslides, mudslides & shooting stones most likely over the vulnerable areas. Farmers are advised to withheld all farm operations during 1st week of March,” it said—(KNO)

Five J&K government stenographers transferred

Five stenographers working for the Jammu and Kashmir government have been transferred to new positions, according to an official order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on Monday.

The transfers include:

• Sandeep Patil, who has been transferred from the Office of Food Safety Appellate Tribunal, Jammu to the Director, Command Area Development, Jammu.
• Surbhi Sharma, who has been transferred from the Youth Services & Sports Department to the J&K Special Tribunal, to work with the Chairperson at Jammu.
• Pooja Kumari, who has been transferred from the J&K Services Selection Board to the Agriculture Production Department to work with the Secretary in the Department.
• Sunil Singh, who has been transferred from the J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Limited to the ARI and Trainings Department to work with Special Secretary.
• Mukesh Kumar, who has been posted in the J&K Services Selection Board.

The order states that all the transfers are effective immediately.
