Indian Army Recruitment 2023 Apply online, Eligibility, last date

Indian Army has invited applications for 139th Technical Graduate Course. Candidates who are interested to apply for the TGC 139 can apply online through the official site of Indian Army at joinindianarmy.nic.in.

The registration process begins today, September 27, 2023 and will end on October 26, 2023. This recruitment drive will fill 30 vacancies in the organization. Read below for eligibility, selection process and other details.

Eligibility Criteria

The age limit should be between 20 to 27 years of age as on July 1, 2024. Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.

Candidates studying in the final year of engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jul 2024 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA).

Selection Process

The selection process comprising of shortlisting of candidates and selected candidates appearing for SSB Interview. Merit list will be prepared engineering stream/subject wise on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate at SSB interview.

Eligibility.
(a) Nationality. A candidate must either be : – (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) a subject
of Nepal, or (iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, SriLanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, will attach such certificate alongwith the application.

(b) Age Limit. 20 to 27 years as on 01 Jul 2024. (Candidates born between
02 Jul 1997 and 01 Jul 2004, both dates inclusive).

Note. The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary School
Examination Certificate or an Equivalent Examination Certificate on the date of
submission of application will only be accepted. No other document relating to
age will be accepted and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

(c) Educational Qualification for Applying. Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Candidates studying in the final year of engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination alongwith marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jul 2024 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA). Such candidates will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA) as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.

Note-1. ALL FINAL YEAR APPEARING CANDIDATES WHOSE FINAL YEAR/
FINAL SEMESTER EXAM WILL BE SCHEDULED AFTER 01 JUL 2024 ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS COURSE. Candidates, who have yet to pass their degree examination will be eligible only if they are studying in the final year of degree examination. Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the final year Degree Examination and are allowed to appear for SSB, should note that this is only a special concession given to them. They are required to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination alongwith all marksheets towards the Engineering Degree Examination by the above prescribed date and no request
for extending this date will be entertained on the grounds of late conduct of basic qualifying University Examination, delay in declaration of results or any other grounds whatsoever.

Kathua, Sep 27 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir’s Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh Wednesday said that after the administration handed over police recruitment to a separate agency, there are 4000 vacancies of constables in the department while deficiency is being felt everywhere.

“Earlier, police would conduct its recruitment drives itself. Since the recruitment process was handed over to some separate agency, there are 4000 vaccancies of police constables in the department. The deficiency in ranks is being felt every where in J&K,” DGP Singh told reporters on the side-lines of a security review meeting at Kathua district, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

He said that Kathua and its remote villages are maintaining the communal harmony. “There are hardworking people who spend days in fields and shops to earn their livelihood. Peaceful atmosphere is prevailing in this district,” the DGP said, adding that “there is a great demand for the police recruitment drives as youth here are facing unemployment.”

He said that police had been always giving priority to border areas whenever recruitment drives were held in the past.

Asked about situation post Kokernag encounter where two army officers and a police officer were killed, the DGP said “situation continues to remain peaceful as it was earlier.”

He said that neighbouring country always hatches conspiracies to destabilise the peace but police and forces are alert to foil all such bids—(KNO)

Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNO): In a major development, the School Education Department has proposed to conduct departmental examinations through the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) to promote its employees.

Besides, the department has also proposed that the Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Trainings (JKSCERT) will set the syllabus for the departmental examination.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the department in a communique has said, “For promotion purposes, in addition to B.ed, a limited departmental examination is proposed to be conducted by JKPSC and JKSCERT shall prepare the syllabus.”

Stating other proposed changes that B.ED degree has been added to the existing qualification of existing PG only as per NCTE guidelines.

“For fixing the seniority of a candidate, the date of passing higher qualification required for acquiring full eligibility for promotion be taken as the date of inclusion in seniority in addition to the date of appointment,” it reads.

The communiqué further states that introduction of the post of Vice Principal equivalent to the number of the principals at HSS from the existing sanctioned strength of senior lecturers without any financial implications—(KNO)

1. From 26-09-2023, 1700 hrs. to 27-09-2023, 1700 hrs. there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to breakdown of 05 HMVs, 16 nomadic flocks and single stretch at Mehar, Cafeteria and Dalwas between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.

2. HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

3. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.

LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar at 0730 hrs. to 1100 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil at 1300 hrs to 1700 hrs. Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNO): In a major feat for the Jammu and Kashmir’s Tourism department, Dawar village of Gurez in northern district of Bandipora Wednesday bagged the best tourism village award from the Union Ministry of Tourism.

The award, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), was received by the J&K’s Tourism Secretary Syed Abid Rashid on behalf of J&K government.

“Dawar village bagged the award in golden category from across all villages in the country,” a top official told KNO.

Sources in the tourism department said that the move will help the border tourism further as government has already explored 75 off beat destinations to increase the number of foreign and domestic tourists to J&K.

Pertinently, this year so far. 1.55 Cr tourists including 40,000 foreign guests have visited the UT while the government is eying 2.25 Crore tourists this year—(KNO)

I. PROCESS FOR ARRIVING AT SCORES:

• The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.
• Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations

II. Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

III. Cut Off Score:
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of online written examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.

Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.
